While he was in office, our counrty was NOT in the shape it is in now. Heck, gas was under a dollar a gallon, and Bush gets in here and it flies higher and higher in price. We were also NOT fighting in a WAR across the globe. So, he had a little fling, that did not affect how he ran our country. He didn't run his =mouth like the Bushs' have, They both (the Bushs) had us in wars, isn't it funny how when Clinto took over Desert Storm ended? People wake up! I say bring on another Clinton!!! I'd like to aford to drive again.

A big part of his fiscal success was due to the dot com boom. He had nothing to do with that, despite what Gore claimed. Clinton also had nothing to do with the price of a barrel of oil. That is, unless you consider all of his efforts to deny exploration on our territory. He was a very generous fellow though. He gave preferential treatment to the Communist Chinese in return for illegal campaign contributions, a move that has drained millions of jobs and he gave nuclear technology to North Korea.

I'd like to aford to drive again. Gas will never be that cheap again. If you think a President can directly control the price of gas then it is no surprise you want yet another Clinton in office. If she wins the nomination, it will have been 20 years of having a Bush or a Clinton running for President. Don't you think their time has come and gone? Clinton bombed Yugoslavia, did you forget that? He also bombed Iraq. Quick quiz, who said this? Bush or Clinton?: "Together we must also confront the new hazards of chemical and biological weapons, and the outlaw states, terrorists and organized criminals seeking to acquire them. Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade, and much of his nation's wealth, not on providing for the Iraqi people, but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. The United Nations weapons inspectors have done a truly remarkable job, finding and destroying more of Iraq's arsenal than was destroyed during the entire gulf war. Now, Saddam Hussein wants to stop them from completing their mission. I know I speak for everyone in this chamber, Republicans and Democrats, when I say to Saddam Hussein, "You cannot defy the will of the world," and when I say to him, "You have used weapons of mass destruction before; we are determined to deny you the capacity to use them again." - Bill Clinton, State of the Union address So Bush wasn't the only one convinced that Saddam was up to no good. Clinton was the beneficiary of circumstance, the Information Revolution just happened to coincide with his term in office (oh, wait, I forgot, his VP DID invent the Internet). But he did NOTHING to prevent it from becoming a bubble and popping right after he left office. I fail to see how he was in any way some great visionary like so many seem to think. He was personable but always backed down from the real fights that needed to be fought, the hard things that needed to be done and instead passed it off while soaking up the goodwill of the people.

The only thing you are paying for now is Dubyah's mistakes. Don't blame the new stadium on oli prices, failing financial markets, and the downward spiral of banks. Blame the real idiot in charge. Though he has always been good at pass the buck...

Yeah, gas prices, its totally w's fault that the economies of asia have flourished causing more demand for oil, that more refineries haven't been built, that Al Gore raised the gas tax, yep, all is fault...

Funny how the right-wingnuts don't want to talk about war, the economy, prices (see gas lately?), US death-toll in Iraq, border security, etc.....I'm no Hillary backer, but she is certainly better than ANY Bush or John McSame.

huh wrote: <quoted text> Get a freakin clue. Under a dollar a gallon? I think not. stop making up crap No, he's right - gas was really under a gallon in the 1990's. I remember once I bought it in Ohio for $0.67 - ahhh, the memories. Pretty sad that's exactly 20% of what I paid to fill up today! PS - speculators have been driving up the price of oil for years. It's not just Iraq.
