Once in office usurp absolute power...
There is a Quote thats said,""Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
The democrats quickly adopt this position when they're in control of the government.
This latent tentency of the democrats to dominate lays dormant awaiting until the democrats become a majority in office then this trait of the democrat party comes out in full bloom as was confirmed when the democrats held the presidency, the Senate and the Congress.
Never mind that the democrats before they were in complete charge as a results of their having obtained control of govenment had always proclaimed that both parties had to work together in order to get the people's business done, bi-partisanship was then the democrat's creed.
That philosophy the democrats touted so loudly of bi-partisanship though was quickly dispatched with by the democats once they have the levers of office completely in their hands then the authority of "absolute power" reared its ugly head and continues today because of the prerogatives of Obama as the democrat's president.
Barack Obama has demonstrated also that he too is a believer in the democrat parties philosophy which is, when in position of "absolute power" use it, never mind that bi-partisanship bull crap.
....Once in office usurp absolute power...

The democrats never, ever had any intention of allowing the republicans to have any say in any legislation, especially whe they ran the entire show in 2009/2010.

I can still remember the smug looks and grandiose statements by those pinnacles of politics Harry Reed and Nancy Pelosi.

Bipartisanship? Democrats? Never.

This point was addressed in the Trib this morning. It was called the Big GOP Lie. Turns out that there was a veto proof Congress for only 2.5 months during the first 2 years. Hardly enough time to push any legislation through. During the rest of the time, the Republicans in the Senate fillibustered almost every major program the President offered.

The fact that even the democrats could not cooperate to pass more legislation proposed by this imposter of a leader is even more telling.

Obama is so radical he could not garner democrats much less republicans.

God bless the democrats for only being able to shove obamacare down our throats. And this will soon be destroyed by the Supreme Court.

You can't have it both ways, Jimbo. Either it was a veto proof Congress or not. As correctly pointed out in the Trib, the idea of a veto proof Congress is The Big GOP Lie.

ooops

"In a victory for President Barack Obama, the Supreme Court upheld his signature health care law's individual insurance mandate in a 5-4 decision, upending speculation after hostile-seeming oral arguments in March that the justices would overturn the law. The mandate has been upheld as a tax, with Chief Justice John Roberts, a Bush appointee, joining the liberal wing of the court to save the law."

This joke will not stand. If it were to stand it will destroy the best healthcare system in the world and will bankrupt the country.

America must wake up and vote in people that will kick this mess to the curb.
