Full story: TwinCities.com

An Eau Claire man's legal issues can be oddly linked to the president and World War II collectibles passed down from his father, a defense attorney said Thursday.

So a person can be found to have violated the law by possessing a grenade that can do no harm other than perhaps falling on one's foot? C'mon, what the hell?!!

Thursday for two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm. I think he was trying to start the first chapter of the Wisconsin malicia club.

He wasn't in trouble for possessing the grenades, they were just used as a reason to search the house where guns were found. Which he is ineligible to possess, because he is a convicted felon.

The grenades led to the search of his house where they found guns........maybe if you read the whole story.

The title is misleading, a more truthful headline would be "felon charged for posessing firearms", but that title wouldn't get as many readers. If you read the article, he's actually being charged for the guns he owned, which is usually illegal for a convicted felon. The grenades just led them to search his house, kind of like when the cops pull someone over for speeding and find a car full of drugs.

Funny. He told the judge, "I've never been in trouble before in my life", yet he was a convicted felon.

As for the grenades and mortar shells, any large surplus store is going to sell them for a few bucks.
Only reason it was looked into, is because Obama was coming to town.

Still, he shouldn't have had the guns in his house. So, he gets what he deserves.

It shouldn't. But, when the grenades and mortar shells were found, it was just before Obama's visit. When the Secret Service asked if they had found any explosives and what not, the police told them about their find.
The Secret Service looked into it, and found no threat against Obama, so they left it in the hands of the local police.

I think the PP mentioned Obama to get more of a reaction out of some people.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Scorpio

Self-worship is easy and obvious, today. The real prize is when you turn from the mirror to see that others think just as highly of you. Take in all this love and amazement, and store some away for lean times in the future. Someone may give you an unexpected compliment later in the day, but don't let them know that it caught you off guard. After all, you still have your reputation as an egomaniac to uphold!
