Have you ever thought about selling Avon? I know it sounds like a womans thing, but guys do it too. You could make a little money every two weeks and if your good at sales maybe make a lot. only cost 10.00 buck to get started you would own your own business then. Just a thought.

I get some retirement from a past employer. No,its not enuf, thus i'm lookin for work to supplement it.My lady works PT,plus is going to Nursing school.
We qualify for and get vision card (food stamps).Thats all the (govermnent) assistance we get.
I'm using part of my retirement to pay for her tuition.
The ONLY luxury we have is cable, internet, and phone. No HBO, or big screen TV. We drive a little 4 popper. We TRY to live within our means, plus I apply for any job I know of that I feel qualified for.So does she.
Once she completes school, finds a job in the Nursing field,(if she likes it),I may follow in her footsteps.
I dont consider myself or her to b lazy..

You should try finding some odd jobs, house cleaning, Avon, raking leaves, helping someone plant their garden. There a re a lot of ways to make money doing jobs that no one else wants to do. You just have to look and see what is out there . Put a sign up in the store looking for odd jobs just trying to help.

Hello, I am a mother of two children and have one on the way. I am still with the father of the child i'm pregnant with now, we are both servers and trying to better ourselves. We have been trying to save but everything is hitting us at once. I am due Oct 9th but there is a possibility that she may be early. This has truly took a lot for me to post this, and if he knew he'd be upset, because we all know how men are. But I cant take this stress anymore. I have two kids that I take care of with no help from there dad. I have been suffering from depression since last year or maybe even before that. Last year I was 5mnth and lost my baby son and my previous pregnancy 5yrs ago was horrible he was early and I was half way dead, so I guess that caused the depression. I do thank god everyday for life and my wonderful family, we are just in need of help. any help. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Have a blessed one.

Why are your bills so high? Water bill is 120 is that from past amounts?
I have 6 ppl living in our 3 bedroom apt. and we pay $11 for water.
Our Elec. bill is under $200, our gas is like $27, and our cable is about $69, and my phone bill was $33.
I think you need to cut some stuff out, and there are ppl that are worse off than you believe me.
My hubby is a disabled vet.
We have satellite, because IMHO he deserves it. He fought for our country, and he gets very little from VA.
They don't help with his eyes anymore, they cut off helping with hearing aids, he needs teeth, they won't help him there.
They only thing they do is help him with seeing a doc, giving him tylenol, headache pills, and muscle relaxers.
They don't give him any pain pills anymore, and he has fms and is in lots of pain all day long.
I would personally cut off the cable. You don't need it to survive.
Do you get any assistance from SRS or anything food stamps, money or anything?
Do you go to salvation army, red cross, or the food banks?
These are the only suggestions I can give you at this point.

you kind of suck with your suggestions. the person came on here with a bleeding heart and you come off cold and heartless. yes. they have bills that have stacked up and they are bills that are for more then one month. yes, they have cable and its not anything that they need to live but to a child it is something that they feel is a need. you should just say nothing if all you have to say is nothing and talk about your problems. you go about your life and if thats the advice that you have to give to people that are trying. dont...because you just seem to make things worse. your just not a very nice person.

why is darrell kansas an ass??? My husband is disabled and I work 2 jobs 7 days a week. I also get tired of paying for every welfare mother who continues to have kids and cries cause she can't make it on what welfare pays. QUIT having kids...get a job and some self respect. By the way...its her choice to keep her sisters, their kids, and her brother living with her. She could get a different job. People are begging for help all over. Her choice to stay in that job
who the heck are you to tell somebody how many kids to have. maybe sombody should of told your mom that if she needed help. its not for the parent. its for the kids and im sure the little money that you do get taxed on to pay for the programs is close to nothing. you people are misery.

As I said before I am someone who is tired of paying for everyone else that doesn't want to work. My mom didn't need help raising our family. She WORKED!! Maybe instead of having the newest phone, cable TV, internet and the luxuries people should prioritize what is an actual need instead of a "I want"

And by the way when I was growing up we didn't have a lot of money, we only bought what we needed and we survived without the luxuries. Same with my kids when they were growing up. If they wanted luxuries they had to get a job to pay for it themselves. That included clothes, college and cars. That may seem harsh to some people but now if my kids want something they WORK for it.
