Suit alleges trucking company denied workers wages, expenses

A class-action lawsuit filed Thursday in state court alleges a local trucking company stiffed its drivers on wages, refused to provide for meal and rest periods and rejected reimbursements for work-related expenses.

But the union wants to force all independant driver's to become employees? Swell.

I just received a call today from a driver who was
having to use her cell for company business. She wasnt very happy about it either. Another company
that delivered yesterday radioed the dispatcher who called us. That is they way it should be done.
If the driver calls us then has to call the dispatcher back it is going to cost money on their personal cell. They should be issued a company cell like our company does and the company pays the entire bill.
