LA County gas prices drop to Aug. 6 low

6, dropping a half-cent to $2.985. The average price is 2.6 cents less than a week ago and 3.6 cents less than a month ago, but 46.7 cents more than this time last year and $1.179 more than the start of the year, according to the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

Torrance, CA

The gas prices are high in California is because the high taxes we pay for the gas. That has to stop. Lower the tax.
