An extra $100 per house per year. To be spent on anything the borough wants. So, call it a "Sewer Service Charge". But the borough can spend it anything the borough wants. LaMaina says this is the fairest way to cover sewer costs. Hmmm....what will they decide needs a specific charge to cover expenses next year? a charge for maintaining traffic lights? street signs? trash? If you're going to raise taxes, raise 'em! Call it what it is. We write more checks, you have more bookkeeping. Smoke and Mirrors. Now that we're paying for it, i'l make sure you know every time our sewer drain doesn't drain. Every single time.
