Minnesota at 150

Happy birthday Minnesota! Yep, on May 11 exactly 150 years ago, President James Buchanan dipped his pen in a White House inkwell and signed legislation establishing Minnesota as the 32nd state of the Union.

Although I am writing all the way from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I am a proud Minnesotan as I lived there for almost 20 years. I wish Minnesota a very happy 150th birthday. I am so proud of Minnesota for all of its achievements in education, healthcare, big business and most of all the "Minnesota Nice" that has defined our state as the greatest in the union! Cheers to Minnesota!
