I hear so much negativity in the news and from people I talk with. I am just wondering if there is much if any good happening?

Jason, Thanks for the story. That is exactly what I want to hear. These are the things that don't get out much in the media. As a matter of fact I have a friend that has received one of the Habitat for Humanity homes. How wonderful it was for her and her kids to have a home to call theirs. They take such pride and care of it, it is amazing. And to top it off she continues the "good deed" done for her by doing things for others.

I find this quite interesting. I suppose "good" is a subjective adjective and therefore can definitely apply to goods and services. Of course if we carry that thought line further, that means that there are jobs that are connected to them, that's good, right? On another plane, I have to tell you there is something good happening here. I have the most wonderful family and am thrilled to be part of it - because of them. |

Sure, lots of good things- but you have to look. That's what I was doing when I say your post, looking for good news. I am the editor of both The Turtle Mountain News (Rolette county)and Midcontinent News (Rugby). I only write good news. Of course I don't have enough of my own to tell about, so I spend a lot of time surfing the net, looking for positive uplifting stories. If you'd care to read some of what I have found (and will continue to look for) check them out on the web. Actually, they share content (they're both the same) and while TMN has been around for 10 years, it has only been on the web for the last couple of issues. Midcontinent News has only been around for 2 issues thus far, but they are online. Check them out if you care to. turtlemountainnews.blogspot.com and midcontinentnews.blogspot.com Oh, nothing to buy there, and I gain nothing from you looking. I just thought I'd try to share some good news. |
