Time to take back our state people.
Let's start with stopping immigration.

hey NMT YOU elected them too... in other words, not everyone voted for them, just the majority... but.. we wonder there too with immigrants voting and work visa folks voting...
I don't believe we can trust the folks counting the votes either. The whole thing is broken.

yeah, no kidding! MN pays more income taxes then most states in the union. Government is top heavy, start weeding them out, They need a re-org like the companys are doing. maybe their work should be shipped overseas too?! I know, that's silly.. but geesh

I agree wrote: <quoted text> we need to get rid of the lot of them. Not just the dems, it's the whole damn bunch! the republicans are letting all the jobs go overseas and the dems are ripping up the constitution. is there hope for America anymore? I wonder... The jobs are going out of state and overseas because of the market forces brought about the tax structure and regulations and those were NOT put in place by the Republicans. Good recent example, smoking ban and this week the minimum wage hike. This will cost a business of 20 employees $75K per year on average. On a whole, MN has some of the highest corporate / business tax rates in the country and an unfavorable business climate. Businesses are being legislated and regulated to death in this state.

It's starts at the individual level - you and me. I attend school board meetings, city council meetings, was a delegate to my caucus, precint and district convention and do volunteer work for my US Congressional Representative and that person does not have a "D" in their party name. Your immigrant comment is right on - illegals cost the state about $180 million a year.

Most of the resorts I have stayed at since my moving here to MN 6 years ago have been dirty and overpriced. And these are some of the "nicer" ones, I have been told. They are outdated, promise "wi-fi access" and other amentities, yet don't deliver.
I have never gone back to a single resort more than once.

Sounds like Moe from the 3 stooges.
Maybe we should study the impact of roadside vegetable stands on Cub and Rainbow, too.

This does have impact on resorts and everyone in the state of Mn, How could it not. The fact that there is no regulation from Health Dept, Insurance issues or Commerical sales tax. All state tax payers are losing, not just resorts.

I guess then you should make your resort a destination that can provide an experience better than can be had at a private residence. They call that free enterprise. Do you Florida should commission a study to see how all the time shares affect Disney World's profitability? And if it does, what then? Property owners with lakefront property have the same rights to rent it out as you do.
