Well, Im a disabled female and I dont go down to any liquor store, dont take or sell drugs, used to work hard for a living when others were living off my tax dollar. So why shouldnt it be there for me when I need it? Do you think I feel guilty because I receive SSI or Sec 8. I do like hell. At least I earned it unlike many others that just get benefits handed to them and will never work a day in their lives.

We should not have any sales tax at all. I understand how income tax got out of hand... Our theiving government. Sales tax is only an additional tax on the poor folks.

Here's an answer.... cut government in half, thereby increasing the money making portion of our country.

Respectfully,

I can't believe the amount of stupidity in our country. Many, many decisions went into creating our current economic status and it started as far back as Richard Nixon (R) decoupling the gold standard from our paper money system, opening the door to inflation. George Jr. bailed out Wall Street while Obama tried to bail out Main street (the regular folks like you and me). If you knew your history and something of economic theory, you'd know that there are no good answers for this economic crisis. Neither a Democrat nor a Republic will be able to take the pain away for a long, long time.
Republicans will spend lots of money on Wall street and the military and cut unemployment and every other social program because they answer to the top 1% income bracket in our country. The Tea Party candidates are mentally ill. The candidates are stupid and nutty. I cannot pull down the moral fabric of our country by voting in these nut-jobs. Democrats will spend to try to help the lower and middle classes through this crisis which will get infinitly worse.
We're all going to end up hungry no matter who we vote into office. The question is do you want a Party that will at least struggle to make help available during such a stressful time in our country?
