i am a 10th grader and i just took the WASL today and pretty much the WASL sucks! and i wouldnt mind it so much if we didnt have to pass it... but now we have to pass the reading and writing to graduate! i think that it is really dumb because not everyone knows the same stuff across the state in 10th grade... and also we dont learn anything that we use for later in life... so pretty much gregoire is wasting our time and its really dumb... we could be learn stuff in class that we actually use in life instead of learning junk for this standerdized test... we arent going to use any of it later in life... for example out of all the adults that i know which is a lot only one has used advanced algebra.... and when am i ever going to need to write a persuasive or expository essay??? the answer to that is never!!!

I agree with you. But I find it funny how many things you spelled wrong, like "standerdized". You also lack some necessary punctuation and capitolization as well. Wait, I'm getting off track. Yes, WASL is a pointless stupid piece of crap, but some of the concepts it addresses are necessary.

I am a tenth grader, and had to take the Wasl this year. I'm not against having someone give me an easy long test because they feel like it, but i am against how my school went about it. First off i think it's crap that we have to pass it to graduate (ever heard of test anxiety??). Plus, at my school this year they decided to put all the testing students into the gym together. Not only that, but our school continued on with normal schedule while we were testing. Therefore, myself as well as others, missed a whole bunch of class time because of this test we have to take. In the end I was completely lost in all my classes. Ya, if they're going to give us a test that is required, we shouldn't be punished for it.
