Too bad it wasn't the driver that got killed. The idea of that idiot one day procreating has got to send shivers down your spine.

Come on people, these families are hurting. That is comment is horrible.

By the way, you must not know him well enough to judge him because he already has a beautiful daughter!

can we please just let this topic drop? The incident alone is causing enough pain without some people making completely insensitive remarks...

these kids were driving around auburn before heading out of town. they were speeding, crossing the center line at oncoming traffic, whipping kitties in the parking lot, yelling from the car, i know i'm not the only one who saw this bc i was at texaco when i saw them heading south on 75, where were the cops then? sitting on their fat asses not doing a damn thing. i dont feel sorry, they shouldnt have been driving around drunk, great parenting.

To each and every one of you who are posting things that are untrue (august) it's time to shut your face. I am a family member of Austin and you will be sued for slander. It's wrong that you are even discussing something like this. Unless you have something nice to say shutup!

And for those who actually care Austin is the only one who died. One girl is in stable condition with a lot of injuries, the driver is expected to be fine and the other girl was barely hurt.

please! Why wasn't he home raising his beautiful daughter instead of driving around drinking. I'm sure the mother of his child would like to know that. I know who this kid is and if he survives this he'll never amount to anything. He'll be on welfare the rest of his life. His family is worhtless. He's done nothing but caused pain and anguish for the other families. People you've got to raise your kids better. These kids were 15, 16, 18,. Quite a range there. Whats a 15 year old doing with an 18 year old going to be going to college? Parents need to be Parents.

No Derik did not die. How dare some of you, every life is worth saving. I have a teen, Thank God he does not drink. I know that someday he will try it. And I just hope he calls me before getting behind the wheel or getting into the car with someone else who has been drinking. All of those teens had been drinking, and yes Derik drove, but he is not old enough to buy it, and I'm sure he did not force them to drink it, also I bet he didnot make them get into the car. All involved played a roll in what happened I'm sure if he hadn't of been behind the wheel one of the other drinking teens would of been, and whose to say more might have died, or maybe no-one would of been injured, no-one will ever know. But you can not blame it all on the driver fact was they were all involved, and all played a part. Derik has to live with this for the rest of his life, while you might say well he still has a life, but not really 16 years old and to live with the fact knowing he was driving and someone died. My heart goes out to all of the families and friends of those involved. Very Tragic.

If you witnessed this why did you not call the Police. Maybe no-one would have died if you did. I guess we will never know. This is what I mean the Blame Game can go on forever. This was an unfortunate accident for all.
