Well, as a kid me and my buddies spent many days in midway grocery buying candy and getting a good laugh at the old timer that worked there(I think Carl was his name), not messing with him, but just chuckling because you could barely understand him and he had a hell of a time hearing you. Anyway, you sure it's the midway grocery you got those fireworks? I don't recall at anytime there being fireworks?

Well Lieutenant Dan I hate to correct you but, Midway never sold fireworks. I know you and you know me. We were probably going to Midway together. It's just a damn shame that your memory is playing tricks on you. We aren't that old yet. If you will remember, We had to go to Rock Port to get Cherry Bombs and M-80's and then face possible State Patrol checks on the way back over the bridge. But your right, those were the days.
