Does any one know who vandelized the busses
three freshman boys

I bet if they have a certian name around town, not much will happen to them!!
what are there names
It doesn't matter what their names are. They are minors and their names should not be posted on Topix. The Auburn Police Department is handling the matter. These boys are misguided. I just hope they learn a lesson from this.

Yes, please let me know what that name is. I always love when I who the "name" people are!!! |

well, no matter what name they are, they have all been expelled....that's a start....

I always wonder about that type of punishment *expelling* Would it not be better to just add additional hours to the time they are in classes? Make them clean? Attend extra classes?

lol I agree. now they have a lot of time on their hands. |
I agree with that as well, but now they will be a year behind, one of them is being sent away. They are all very misguided. Maybe they need some time away to learn how to establish themselves.

I understand this view. However, this will cost the district additional funds. Quite honestly I would prefer the district spend their $$ on the other students not on these three. There use to be a day when being expelled would be a nightmare for a kid. If these three parents step up - it will be. Of course that may be asking a lot. |
not necessarily the parents fault, sometimes they need more help than what the parents can give. Unfortunately, they can't hold their kids' hands 100% of the time, they shouldn't have to but Sometimes kids just don't respond to anything. Maybe Juvi will be something they will respond to....I feel terrible that there are kids that just don't care for right and wrong....

According to the Neb. Dept. of Education website, Title 92, Chapter 17, when students are expelled, their school district must provide some kind of alternative education for them. So, Dist. 29 will be paying for their education during their entire expulsion.
You are right. I heard that the school is working with each student through the Alternative Education Center. My point was what was proposed earlier ( extra hours / extra work) costs money. I do not want the district to spend extra money on 3 kids who have already cost the district thousands of dollars in bus and building damages. |

I still think they should spend at least one day detailing all the buses so they can see a little bit of how hard it is to maintain them. The work involved in cleaning up the mess was tremendous.
I could not agree more - plus they need to pay for the damage. That is a court issue however. I do not think the school has the authority to require that. Perhaps the unicameral should give that power to schools. |

There is a place in Kearney that would be just perfect for them.

Who are you, auburn hero?
What you have written may be true--or it may be a lie, fabricated to strike back at someone from your anonymous hiding place. So, who are you? By posting gossip about named people--true or not--you fall into the same class of ignorants who vandalize busses. Who are you? |
