Observation

[enough already]

I challenge each of you that read this to look around at other communities boards and take note that Auburn and Falls City are the only two filled with negativity, bitching, rumors and hate. No other communities suffer with the negativity that this place has, I wonder why that is.

Take a minute and think about all of the outsiders who stop by or are directed here through search engines and what those outsiders must think. I know I for one am deeply embarrassed to be part of this community simply based on the remarks littered all over this message board. I now look at every single person I see on the street and in the store differently, it is a painful reminder of the amount of hate in this beautiful community rather than the small town commrodery that we used to be known for.

Just something to think about the next time you feel the need for hate and negativity to come out of your mouth.

don't get me wrong, i agree that it should be a positive thing...but I also think that its more than just falls city and here that have this sort of postings.

I agree with the person who first posted, well at least in partial agreement. I do not know about FC, but Auburn is full of negativity. Unfortunately, the post pointing this phenomenon is also negative.
I guess we have room for growth.

Right. It's a wonderful world everywhere but in Auburn and Falls City. There is no negativity, no hatred, no anger, no lust. Nothing but happy cheerful people who never complain. We should all hang our heads in shame and contemplate the thousands of people who would have moved here if we hadn't been so naughty.

im not sure if you got the point...if you brush your way through all the sarcasm, you find out that what he's saying is that Auburn and Falls City aren't the ONLY places that participate in the bashing of their own town....my input: at least we're not just sitting back and saying nothing, at least we're talking, and that's always a start....one of these days, someone will actually take action for all the talk...that's what i hope for anyway...ill be leaving in like a month, so i won't be the one for all of you that are going to ask why i don't do it then

i agree with all these comments, there is nothing wrong with being critical of things in your town, but lets try and avoid being so hateful and so harsh, there is good and bad things happening every where not just falls city and auburn, and if you notice some of these towns have little or no postings , not sure if that means they are boring or just dont give a darn, at least the falls city and auburn postings keep things interesting

I agree. I left Auburn more than thirty years ago and it used to be a very nice community. I don't know if what I read on this board is mostly BS or if the community really has deteriorated that much. It's sad really.

If you consider moving back to our city the mayor and city council will consider builidng you a tax exempt residence and/or business using not to exceed $200,000 of tax payer dollars...
