Well, Bona fide tattoo's is actually a nice shop with a artist that does amazing work. The other is located inside a sex shop with no running water and a person doing tattoo's that probably can't write his name neatly.

I personally think we could do without any tattoo shops in our town. Just sends the wrong message to people passing through.

And why is that Just Me? You another one of those people that wants everything to be like it was 25 years ago? I think it's great there are new buisness's starting up in the small towns of our county. It's people like you that wanted 9th Street to get shut down, taking away from the local economy. Hopefully when the people like you die out this county and it's small towns will have an chance to grow.

You hafta be kidding me. I never said anything about shutting down 9th street or that I didn't support new businesses. I personally would like to see RESPECTABLE business take root in my community instead of a business that caters to biker gangs and prostitutes. Maybe thats old fashion thinking but a city full of tattoo shops and sex stores is gonna be hard pressed to attract other types of businesses.

I have to agree with Just Me. As a teacher and the parent of teenagers, I really hated to see the tacky little sex shop come in and now the tattoo places. One tattoo shop would have been enough. I did not know about the one in the sex shop not having running water and such.
We need more family businesses in our little town. I like taking a stroll down Main Street with my children and I don't want to have to explain why people get tattoos. I am not against them, but I don't want to have to expose my children to them unnecessarily. Furthermore, I moved to this town with my family because it was a small town and it felt safe, wholesome, and good. I've lived here for more than 15 years and this is the first time I have considered moving elsewhere. People move here to get away from bigger towns because they like to feel safe. If we start building our town up to be like a bigger town then we are losing our hometown.
Tattoos are good if you want them, but do you have to have two shops in one tiny town? I think not.

I think anyone that opens a tattoo shop in a town of 1500 can't be serious about what they do. If they had any confidence in their abilities (talent?), they'd be where the money is instead of limiting themselves to such a small customer base. Or maybe they lack the business skills to run a real business in a real competitive environment. Trust me, if the folks of Auburn want a tattoo, I'm sure they'd be willing to drive to Bowling Green but I doubt that works the other way around. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that the person running this shop is on disability or some type of welfare and is doing this under the radar. I know it can't produce the income to support itself let alone a person or a family. Maybe I'll make some calls to DOR Revocation Programs/State Claims to see what the real deal is. We don't need this kind of crap in our town.

Either way it goes, your not gonna stop it. People like you are a dying breed. Stuff such as this is becoming much more accepted. Deal with it or be left behind. Watch and see!

You're right. The real proof of whether or not it belongs here will be if the people support it by spending their hard earned money there. Time will tell. I think it will close.

First off, Crazy and BB King, you need to keep your pitiful opinions and sick sense of values in Russellville!!!!!! Auburn has been and still is the most awesome hometown in the world! I can certainly speak for this town for the past 50 years! Folks in Auburn have a true sense of family, kindness, goodness and community. I couldn't be more proud of any home. What's wrong with the way things were 25 years ago anyway? Adults actually taught their children respect and set good examples for them to follow! Everyone worked and supported themselves and their families. I see people surrounding all of us now who seem to think the world and everyone in it owes them something!!!!!! You're the ones that need to wake up and get with the program, not the awesome people who still choose to live in simple times, my friends and family in Auburn, Ky! Keep your crap in Russellville!!!!!!!

Once again, you'll have to just accept the fact that stuff changes. Your and my opinions don't really matter. I'll just be around alot longer to voice mine. ;-)

Although a tattoo shop doesn't really fit in in the auburn area, it should still be a welcomed buisness which adds to the local economy. And to be honest alot of you peoples views on such of very sterotypical. What makes you right and them wrong? What makes them trashy and you better? Sounds to me like a bunch of people with nothing better to do with their time than bitch on the net!

You are hilarious!!!! No need to get your shorts in a knot! Looks like you are spending a little time on the "net" yourself! You must not have anything else to do... Using explicatries aren't necessary either! By the way, say hello to Rosemary. I haven't seen her in years.

Who cares what the tards from Russellville think. This is Auburn not Russellville. Just because its in the same county doesn't mean jack. If you want to comment on a community, comment on your own. Auburn is a peaceful little town and I personally have a lot of money and time invested in my property here. I have both a financial and moral commitment to see Auburn succeed. I believe that the sex and tattoo shops are an attack on Auburn's character, furthermore, its the Auburn citizen's responsibility to send these store owners back home to their double wides, we need no help from Russellville trash.
