Why is it when something needs taken care of the people of Auburn have to pry that Ron is the one that comes when they call for the police? Is he the only real policeman we have. it seemes all scott can do is "say" ill take care of it, or, no problem. when ron comes he really taks care of the problem. ron is also the only one i see patroling in the nieborhoods of town. what dose scott do except spend time at B & J and why are we paying him for it.

Thank you CAC. I thought it was just me that could see this. There is no doubt that there are alot of closed eyes at city hall when it comes to the actions or inactions (both are just as bad sometimes) of "chief" scott harmon. There should be some role reversal done so the right(and real) police officer is in charge. Then scott will have a boss that will make him do the job he's payed to do.

Well, guys or girls, I have to stir the pot some more and disagree with you all. When Scott came from the sheriffs dept to Auburn, he came in and took off taking care of whatever problem arose, but as was the case when George Lockhart was police chief, the "people" or rich people, people of influence, whatever you want to call them, started causeing problems because just like anyone else they were also getting the traffic tickets and citations for this or that. So therefore, after so many complaints our city officials request that our officers slow there actions. Just as you used to see them setting at burts at night watching traffic, or at one of there favorite spots around town running radar, you don't see that much anymore because too many people complain about the wrong things.

Well let's see here. I think that Scott has done more for this city than any other officer that has been in service here. From what I am told, he has gotten more grant money than any other offical has, he has an awsome repour with the community! Ask any one on the street who they perfer, and with hands down, it will be Scott. He was here way beofre Ron and will continue to be here long after he is gone. If it's any good for you to know, ask officer Mills why he left the Russellville Police Department. LAW SUIT!!!! So, if you don't see Scott out patroling in your neighborhood, it's probably because he is having to answer complaints about officer mills being seen out on the highway and arresting people in RUSSELLVILLE! CAC and LSD get your facts together before you slam someone that probably has come to your house because he needed to and told you something that you didn't want to hear or he said something that didn't go your way. I have spoken to people all over the state, and they have heard how much of a great place Auburn was to live because of such a very low crime rate. This is not Metropolitan Nashville folks! He polices Auburn as it should be done! Open your eyes! Oh yeah, and check to see how many times that has been awarded for the things that he has done to insure your safety as you go to bed every night. Just my opinion. Oh yeah, and ask your council members who gets things done!!!!!!!!

Let's get it right. He did not total his cruiser, just some minor repairs. He was respondinng to a call he was dispatched to go on to assist the sheriff's department. One of the Sheriff's cars hit a deer and it was in the road when officer mills hit it. His first car BURNED he did not total it. The car he has now keeps loosing its headlights. How in the world can you blame second hand bad equipment on the officer its assigned to? tpt you are a prime example of people that run thier mouth about things they know nothing about.

Put Scott's azz in a car with bad headlights and see how fast it gets fixed. By the way if you listened to your scanner Ron was never in pursuit. He spotted the car and was keeping the deputies posted on its location. and pct is right he was sent to help find the car by the dispatcher. Ron's car has less damage than Scott's had when he ran over a block of cement in the city park. (wonder why he was off the paved road)

OMG I think you might want to look into the lawsuit involving Ron and The city of Russellville. You might also want to ask around about why Scott is no longer at the Sheriff Dept. You might find somethings that will open your eyes. Ron is one of the best officers in Logan co. I would much rather Ron show up at my house than Scott.
FYI I don't believe Ron wrecked in Bowling Green, but either way your focusing on the wrong things here. You need to focus on the work the two do in Auburn. Ron out does Scott at almost every turn. Yeah Ron spending time on the highway but part of the highway in the city limits of Auburn, so he is still protecting the citizens of Auburn. There maybe complaints on Ron but I hear worse things on Scott everyday. The "Mayor" needs to open his eyes. The city council has been trying to do something with Scott but the "Mayor" will not allow it.

FYI I do know what happened and I do know that your full of crap. The pursuit, which was started by RPD, did not end at the Greenwood Mall. It ended in the Smallhouse RD area. So you either need to buy a scanner and take notes or stop talking to people that are misinformed. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!

I have to agree with CTRL on all points and OMG, sure scott probably is awarded lots of grant money, but do you know what it goes too??? Niether does anyone else. And as far as your little street survey on who they prefer, I would LOVE to be present for that so I can laugh in your face when everybody but you says Ron!

I must agree with OMG.(about getting the facts straight) I have been checking on some things before commenting on this thread to make sure i wasn't spreading any rumors and dealing with facts. 1st, I have to correct tpt's first post with fact. Scott did not come to us from the sheriff's department. He was fired!!! the Sheriff was tired of Scott's lies and lies to cover lies and the arrest warrant in warren county. Scott did not work as a police officer again.(about 9 mo) until Auburn. Scott has no exp. as a cop. OMG getting the facts is the only thing you were right about. You are trying to mislead people. 1st. Ron's LAW SUITE, He filed suite against RPD and the city. This case recently closed in Ron's favor. 2nd, The highway, Every time I see a police car sitting on the 4-lane its Scott. Ron patrols the area and makes stops out there but thats part of the job. 3rd, Ron has not made a single arrest in Russellville since starting in Auburn. 4th, What award are you talking about??? the only award Scott has is the DUI award. and he has not won that since Ron came to town. FYI sorry but pct knows exactly what thier talking about. Ron's pursuit to B.G. was in the car he has now. he did not wreck it, it did not end at Greenwood Mall. Ron was never in a pursuit with the car that burned. pct and ctrl seem to be the only one's dealing with fact. By the way, you can check any of the information i'v talked about by checking the records. I have over 27 years in law inforcement in two states. Large city and small town. I believe in the facts and the in this case the facts speak loud and clear.

yeah I have to correct myself, officer mills was never in pursuit, And the deputy coming toward him hit a deer, which officer mills then too ran over. And no I don't run my mouth without knowing, I'm very much involved in emergency services in this county. Your right you can't blame the officer for shape of the equipment when it's issued, but you can blame them for not taking care of it, also Officer Mills was issued a BOLO not answering a call for back up. As far as the pursuit in Bg it started in Rville ended up at Greenwood mall on Cave Mill rd. The reason Ron was there is because in Ky the initial pursuing officer has the right to continue there pursuit until it is resolved. If I'm not mistaken he ran over the spike strip that was deployed by bgpd, causeing him to skid out of control. His first cruiser at Auburn burned on Browning rd, IT wasn't even an actuall police cruiser it was just a crown vic, no police package, no special anything. However, my point to all this is, why do we have ANY officer in Auburn if they're not going to stay here.
