Kansas schools squeezed by rising food prices

Like many families, the state's school districts are feeling pinched by rising food prices.

Cutting bus routes down, cross town runs, less choices at lunch, these are all ways other schools are saving money.

I also agree with cutting bus routes. Do you actually think that the valley view area close to the golf course in considered country? Those kids should be taken to school by their parents like the town kids. That would save money on gas for the school system. I'm not sure what you mean by less choices at lunch, but the school lunches at the high school are really bad and only the freshman eat there because they have too.

The next thing that will get cut is activities or students haveing to pay their way for non-revnue activities.
