If Officer David Essad is committing crimes on his personal time, then there is the strong likelihood that he is also committing crimes while on duty. Maybe this is why the "teacher porn case" hasn't gone anywhere by now....

I think this indicates that David Essad is a very aggressive and heavy handed cop. I think given his qualifications as a Police Defensive Tactics Instructor he could have avoided breaking his wifes nose. Essad is also a Firearms Instructor Taser Instructor and Martial Arts Blackbelt. It seems like he should face more serious charges given his martial arts background. Further even givent the fact that he is a Law Enforcement Officer he thought it was necessary to seek PPOs against other people and reportently failed to secure the PPOs after a courtroom meeting with a Judge. Moreover he has been also been involved as a party in a lawsuit in Wayne County Circuit Court. Its cops like this that give Law Enforcement Officers a bad reputation.

Hopefully all the other Shelby cops with anger issues will leave or be assigned to desk jobs. They have no more room in house for the cops who cannot control themselves in public. It's too bad that the "bad cops" have to do something really bad before they get suspended.

Wow, this Police Officer has some major anger problems. It is too bad the number of COPS who believe they are "above the law" and committ such crimes. Not even a criminal should take a beating like that. I didn't realize Shelby cops had such problems. This needs to be addressed to keep our citizens of Shelby Township safe.

I am one of the people he tried to get a PPO against after I put up this site. He claimed he was in fear of his health and safety because of this. He sent 5 buddies over to my house just before Christmas who busted in on my 8 year old daughter, guns drawn to confiscate my computers charging me with Stalking. Even though I never actually met the guy in person in my life.
The judge laughed him out of court and I got my computers back but my daughter still has nightmares and fears all police now.
Shelby Police is a good ol boys club or schoolyard bullies with badges. Very few are truely on the side of good.

I've just found out that Mrs. Julie Ann Essad just filed for Divorce, and has been living away from home. I've got to question whether it is out of fear of this man or some of his friends in blue.
I certainly hope that she will report the actions of those attempting to pressure her into false testimony. Likewise I also hope there have been no attempts to pressure the witness in the case either.
If so, I certainly hope they will report these attempts to the Michigan State Police for attempted Obstruction of Justice, or persuasion or threats made by those to alter testimony to the Civil Rights Division of the FBI who may be part pf a conspiracy to deprive them of their Rights under color of Law.
Detective David Essads conduct is a stain on the reputation of good Law Enforcement everywhere.

There are plenty of "rotten fish" up the ladder that know that this type of aggressive behavior goes on and they tend to look the otehr way until someone get hurt or killed. Complaints need to be made at the State level.

As for David Essad....seems to be this Police Officer has a LONG LIST of people who have complaints against him.....AND NOW HIS OWN WIFE???? This is DISTURBING. Earl- I absolutely agree with you. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Jim/Matt/Bob of Utica are all of the same guy associated with that website which I noticed has a "support" page....Regarding the topic at hand, there is absolutely no excuse for this type of behavior. My thoughts and prayers go out to "Does It Matter", his sister, and family.
