I feel sorry for him that he made this error but the few people I talked to about it laughed it off and actually gave the guy more respect.

I think that this man needs to be punished for his actions. There is nothing funny about being called a coon, especially someone that stood for so much more than what people have expectations of ever being. Get it right RACISM is NOT funny!

Tee hee... Coon.

So he's a racist because he expects the black athletes to show up and support their teammates on June 19th?

Maybe if ya'll showed a work ethic the other 364 days a year, your day off would become respected instead of smirked at.

It is one thing to say chocolate meaning brown skin, it is another to call a great man a racist name or to associate a whole race of people with a animal (coons). So igorant people don't get it or think an insult like that is funny until the shoe is on the other foot.

How would you feel if someone rolled over laughing after somebody called your mom a cu m swallowing stank hoe?

Yes, negroes play ball well.

And yes, I own the dang trailer park!

I'm not going to get into a racial divide discussion with you. God created caucasians, negroes, Indians, everyone. I just wish that negroes didn't act like victims and hurt their own productivity in this world. A man like Bill Cosby speaks out about personal responsibility, and he's called a cracker and an Uncle Tom. Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and Clarence Thomas are fantastic examples of a rising tide, but you gotta get your ship in the water!

A good start would be for there to be more negroes in college than in jail.

<<"We understand the gravity of the situation," Superintendent James Monaco told the Denton Record Chronicle. "It was a bad error, but there is no racial prejudice. I can't tell you how sorry he is." >>

I read the article. Superintendent James Monoco thinks there is no racial prejudice, just a bad error. Then why the hell is this coach so sorry and is making so many apologies? It's wrong to make any racist comment to students, no matter what race you are talking about... whites, blacks, hispanics, asians, etc.

To Martin_ San Francisco
No, that comment wasn't funny as hell. Did you think it was funny as hell when the Mayor of New Orleans made the "chocolate" city comment or when he disrespected the WTC? I don't think so. They should of got rid of his ass for making those comments but nobody complained about it, which they should of. It's obvious he was being racist and he got away with it twice. It shouldn't be any different with this coach. I don't think he should be fired but they should at least suspend him for that. And someone needs to do something about that racist mayor too.

I'm not that offended by racial comments, I'm a mixed mutt.

It's irritating that negroes have a one way pass, however. They can denigrate any race, mostly cracker-whitey-devil, without any backlash.

Let a caucasian report facts about negro crime or statistical under performance, and here come the professional victims telling us why it's not their fault.

The pendulum is swinging back, because caucasians are sick of the negroes' excuses.

You might not get offended by racial comments but others do. It bothers me when a black, white, hispanic, asian or any other race makes a racial comment. No race is better than any others. Yes, it's irritating when a negro uses the race card but in this case with the coach it wasn't that way. It was not a negro that came up with the allegations. And I don't think it's right for a negro to denigrade any race either. Why do you think I said something should of been done about the mayor of New Orleans. That comment he made was towards hispanics. And just what do you mean by "the pendulum is swinging back, because caucasians are sick of the negroe's excuse," what does it mean?

Negroes can make fun of caucasians at will, they can use the word nigger but caucasians cannot. They have considered themselves worthy of reparations, but show that they can't handle a small debit card.

The pendulum is swinging back from an extreme of letting negroes claim victim status. In the 1960's they certainly had a legitimate point, one that my mother marched in support of equal rights. Now they are "more than equal" and if anything, have become parasitic to civilized society. Affirmative action after 73 years has now exhausted its purpose.

The pendulum has begun its reverse momentum in that caucasians no longer are feeling guilty for negroes' lack of productive lifestyles.

It is very funny!!!!!!!

All of it, because we try and fight racism with racism......it's funny as hell to me.........we try and try for "equality".......the racial divide is growing stronger and stronger everyday, the race card is pulled out for everything, so do I think this coaches comments were funny, you bet I do........people get all bent out of shape over shit like this, only when it's against a minority, there racism towards whites all the time and nobody cares.......so is this funny to me......OH YEAH!!!!

Martin,
Ok, you think the coaches comments were funny but I asked you if you thought the comments that the mayor of New Orleans made about the "chocolate" city and him disrespecting the WTC were funny? I don't think so and I think someone should of done something about it. Just b-cuz he's black does not give him the right to make racist comments towards any other race.

They weren't intended as humor, and succeeded in failing to be humorous.

No, they were just stupid. I didn't take off work and protest in front of the welfare office, though.

I thought what was wrong is that the state of LA refused the nat'l guard's entry into the sovereign state, Nagin left school buses unused, and they blame Bush for the city's lack of integrity in the use of Federal funds to fix the levies.

THE GUY SHOULD BE FIRED THAT WAS A REDICULOUS COMMENT. RAY NAGIN SHOULD HAVE BEEN THROWN OUT OF OFFICE FOR HIS STUPIDIDTY AS WELL. IF A BLACK COACH CALLED A WHITE ATHLETE A CRACKER I AM SURE THAT THE GUY WOULD BE CANNED.
