I need some help. I am new to Aubrey and so far I love the area and the people here. I am a student at UNT and moved here to be closer to the University as I was driving 2 hours one way to get to class. My husband is looking for work and would love to work on one of the ranches if anyone knows of someone hiring let me know.
We move here and we are living in a travel trailer. After we got here we found out the place we are staying is not a very reputable place, so he needs to get work asap so we can get out of here and in a place that is reputable or find a house (our preferred choice.) We are grandparents and raising iur grandchildren who are 4 and 5 years old. Unfortunately this move has left us in a situation where we are not going to be able to give them a Christmas this year.
This comes the problem whereas I need help. I have asked several places if there is a program here that helps low income families with Christmas (angel tree program.) I was sent to the Shepards Storehouse but it is to late to sign up. Does anyone know of another program that is available to help with children with no Christmas? I am also in need of clothes to fit the dress code of the Aubrey schools.
Any help sending me in the right direction would be very appreciated.
Thank you and god bless each and every one of you.
