Charlottesville Named Top Retirement Destination For Brainless Liberals!

"Where to Retire Editor Mary Lu Abbott said Charlottesville possesses qualities important to today's retirees. "More people than ever are making retirement relocation decisions based on how often they can ditch the car and go places by foot. Many towns, including Charlottesville, have neighborhoods where walking is not only a health benefit, but a way to connect with neighbors and nature and lessen the strain on your wallet and the environment," Abbott said."

I guess they haven't yet ventured off the downtown mall very far or been out at night.

Don't give them any warnings. After the average ditsy liberal gets beaten and robbed two or more times they start to have attacks of common sense.

I wouldn't disagree. It is a lovely little city with a relatively low cost of living, good weather and plenty to do. Obviously, financial planning is key to a fulfilling retirement. But I want to call to the attention of baby boomers and anyone planning retirement or recently retired that emotional planning is important too. Going from a full time job to no job may seem ideal, but it is an enormous and difficult adjustment. Too many retired people end up feeling useless, with no purpose. Many suffer from episodic depression as a result, making what could be the best time of their lives, the worst time. Prepare yourself by finding a passion to pursue during retirement.

If you have over a million $ in your retirement account at 65, you're good to
stay.

Sorry, but somebody had something to gain by spreading that lie. Between crime, traffic, and cost of living what bozo would want to retire here?

Believe me, the liberals around here are wolves in sheep's clothing. They talk the talk but if you some like I do they don't walk the walk, starting with the mayor, and his predecessor.

Just look at the flowering trees and shrubs and the beauty they display. C'ville is a wonderous place to visit and retire. Hopefully the real estate interests will not ruin it!

Its not the developers per say, its the politicians they pay off to build whatever they want, where ever they want.
