Tuscola senior dies in car wreck

Dustin Moody's classmates at Tuscola High on Monday wrote memorial messages with chalk on campus sidewalks while mourning the senior's death in a car accident.

I was an eye witness to the crash & first on the scene. It is absolutely tragic but everyone needs to be aware that unlike channel 13 saying they were trying to avoid a pothole, the truth is, there was a drain tile in that straight-away that was replaced last year & they didn't fix it back properly. They left a dip in the road so when you're driving this long straight-away & then hit that dip, it makes your car go airborne easily. Locals have complained to the county numerous times about this issue & they have avoided it & now it has cost a life. There have been 4 accidents at that location within 1 yr. I ask that everyone contact Sevier county Commisioners & officials about getting this dip in the road fixed before it takes someone else's life. It a highly traveled road and needs proper attention. My heart goes out to the boys and their families.

Dustin he will be missed, he was the kid that you never saw without a smile on his face. He was hardworking and had his mind set to what he was going to do. He worked three jobs and still had time to do sports at school, and while doing all that had the good grades to support it all. He was a good friend and will be missed greatly, Just pray for his family and friends RIP Dustin your going to be missed greatly man...

I graduated from ACR in 1982. We were the first senior class in 5 or 6 years to not loose someone. Losing a classmate really hits you hard. My prayers go out to Dustin's family and fellow students at Tuscola.

To Dustins family and friends I am so sorry to hear of your loss I know your heart are hurting and you feed that you can not go on but as a mother of whom has lost a son--my only child please know that he will all-ways be here for you and when you feed you just can not go on another min. talk to him - he will be there for you--this may sound stupid right now but it will come at a later time and you will know what I am saying I myself has someone tell me this of who also lost a child 30 years ago and I can tell you it helps you will. Please know my heart goes out to you

Thanks to everyone that has said great things about Dustin it really means a lot. Dustin was a very sweet and understanding pearson. If you had a problem he was always there for you. He was very hard working and brought a smile to everyones face. He will be greatly missed.

He lived more in 18 Years than I have in 42. Never had a Bad Day. I was so Blessed to have Him as My Son. I Hope many People will find Jesus through his death. At least something good would come from this. He was a Christian and He let His Light Shine on Many. He would want all His Friends to Do the Same. He is in Heaven Now. We will See Him Again. Sorry to hear about the tragic loss of Dustin. He was an awsome friend. Even though I didn't get to know him for a long period of time, what I did get to learn about him is, he is a wonderful and loving guy. I'll never forget all those good laughs Dustin, his dad, many other friends and I had in the small town of Pollard's Point NL, Canada. God Bless Robin and Dustin's family.
