First of all, I don't see gangs from the outside perspective only. I agree with you partially when you mention kids view the gang life as a family. However, that is no excuse to join a gang. You have to view a bigger horizon and know that there are other alternatives other than joining a gang. You go nowhere being in a gang. There are plenty of alternatives for young kids where there can be a family network if one doesn't really have a family at home. For example there are plenty of non-profit organizations, school programs, and other community groups. Now you want to tell me gangs is the only option, think again. Nortenos, Surenos, and all other gangs are cancer to society. Take a look around you. Why do you think the cities are now imposing gang injunctions all over the state? Well, maybe people are just plain sick and tired of gangs tarnishing the communities we live in

Where is your humanity?.....On another note it seems to me that many of you are not well informed with the gang issue, and how it is directly related to poverty, and social issues.
