There she goes again!!Put on your big red lips and kiss some bigtime @$$ at Unitil! Mayor Wong, why would you be the one responsible to introduce another bigshot hire of Unitil who supposedly "will be there for us" in the event of another ice storm disaster??? He doesn't even come from the area. It makes me sad to think you really are not concerned about our city. Unitil must really like having you in their back pocket(then again,it seems you have moved yourself to the front pockets of the upper management)

So why is it that Wong didn't introduce him BEFORE the election??? Could it be that she knew exactly what she was doing? Have to wonder what her paycheck is from Unitil, probable similar to this guy who will shit in his nice toasty home with his cell phone turned off.

"Also Wednesday, Water Commissioner Denis Meunier announced that the Water Department has collected more than $52,000 in past due water bills over the last two weeks."
I admit I read this article because I thought "why the heck is the mayor involved with "introducing" Unitil personell". Whatever... Welcome, Good Luck and You don't even know what you've walked into... BUT what ended up being the most interesting part of the article was the $52,000 - yes 52 THOUSAND Dollars collected in past due water (and I assume sewer also) bills. A little bit of effort goes a long way! A couple stamps for demand bills, letters, a threat to turn off the water made it happen? Seriously? Business 101. Did it really take some councillor saying we have to go after delinquent accounts to actually make the city go after delinquent accounts? Let's see: if I don't pay my credit card bills, Unitil bill, Verizon or Comcast bills; my credit cards, electric, gas, phone and cable will be shut off. Unbelievable that actually shutting off the water was never an option before. Just a suggestion to the Sentinel: How about "Wednesday Press Conference" as a headline so people might be interested in the many different issues that may be there. Thanks. |

Is Unitil"s prices the same as National Grid? People tell me that Unitil has higher pricing. If so, I think that's wrong and should be adjusted. Right
|
||||
We pay about double what National Grid customers pay. We lose our power quite often too and when we do nobody answers the phone. Ever!! |
||||
It's horrible that nobody did their job before and allowed so many bills to go uncollected. Whoever was responsible should be fired. They shouldn't see finally collecting them as a merit..it is a shame that they didn't do their job before. |

We will soon be hearing about what we will be paying for an increase for Unitils cleanup recovery from the storm. I have it on good information that the focus for the politicians is to minimize the rate increase and spread it out over time.

We'll it is simple. We can' fire the head of the DPU (but Patrick could of, check out Chapter 25, section2, MGL) but we can fire our reps and senators along with not electing Coakley as senator. She was endorsed by Flanagan and Benson. All who had lined up for their Utility lobbiest checks and then the ice storm and they didn't no what to do. Support their constituents or let go of the check. This really doesn't start wite utilities, but rather the dubious ground our elected official are willing to stand on. Hey Jennifer squared, start by getting rid of the DPU chair!!!!!!!! That is something you do have the power to do!!!

you have congressmen and women to help you out. Also, what would the Governor do to help that situation out.there must be a way for Unitil to drop there pricing. I will not move to Fitchburg again, although I wish the best for the city. |

You can almost throw a rock from John DiNapli's residence in Attleboro, Ma to Unitil's new Director of Emergency Management, Richard Francazio's residence in Barrington, Rhode Island. Well not quite, but it still looks like Richard is bringing in all his card playing, beer drinking, emergency managing cronies. Doesn't FG&E (dba Unitil) have any native expertise of their own in the Fitchburg area? You know, someone that doesn't need a GPS to find the John Fitch.
|

|
If you agree that hiring DiNapoli will not improve service or rates and you want the choice of another utility company, please come to the one-year anniversary protest Saturday December 12th 12-3 PM in front of the Unitil building on John Fitch Highway.

J it's the same everywhere. Look at our school system. The school departments central office get's bigger and there are less teachers and more students in the classroom. WTF! These higher up fu**s just keep lining their own pockets. And no one does a thing about it. Our elected officials just let it happen.
