People should learn that an animal is as inocent as a child, if you could do that to a baby animal, you should be found and treated and arrested as an abuser. You have no heart, you have no soul your evil and someone should take your food and shelter away from you and leave you with nothing on the side of a road.....see how that would feel you CREEP, hope your real proud of your self.........

"The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated." - Mahatma Gandhi Trowing away cats and kittens in a box is moral decay. |

People who do things like this make me sick. They have no regard for life. If you have animals and cannot take care of them, you should either find a home or surrender them to the SPCA. But to just throw them away is terrible. Especially when you have an older cat who has lived indoors for years. They are dependent on you for food and water. They loose that animal instinct to hunt for food. And when they have babies depending on them for milk - even worse.

I wonder, did the lady who was sick of her neighbors cats catch them and dump them?????

either way.............who ever did that...should be found and punished......people who do that make me sick.....someone should slap the hell outta you........who ever you are.....

As a cat lover I can say I have seen it before. People are ignorant beyond belief. There are a number of small private cat adoption agencies locally that do a great job. All domestic animals are dependant on humans for survival, we in many cases let them down. SPEY & NEUTER if you love your pets.

With the economy heading for another great Depression, who in their right mind would spend money feeding a cat? You get no sympathy from me.

You have no idea how much time and energy let alone money it takes to take care of a cat do you. These adoption agencies ask for a lot of money to take in a cat. And if your cat isn't speyed of neutered, some places won't even take your cat. And if you love your cats as much as a child, then why not at birth do you not have them spey or neutered. |

Sounds to me like they weren't neutered and someone finally had more than they could handle.
I love cats, have two, and that's plenty. I hope they all find homes. To those of you reading this who don't have a pet... kittens/cats make the best pets, especially for the elderly. They are not only great company but clean, not noisy and so loving if treated lovingly. Go adopt one! Have the satisfaction of giving a wonderful home to one that has none. Cat lover. |

please help out stephanie's shelter if you live in that area, or can take a drive out there. i have heard she has a lot of other animals waiting to be adopted already, and i believe she is one of the few "non kill" shelters in the area. she depends on monetary or other donations to keep up with the food and supplies for the animals she takes in until they are adopted.
i am sure these cats and kittens would make wonderful companions. |

Meow meow meeoww, Somebody please neuter me so I cannot keep spreading my seed...

I seriously want to adopt one of these kittens...where do I sign up ?

My cats are neutered and I have helped out at a couple of animal shelters. I know full well the cost involved with keeping a cat or in my case several. A "free kitten" is NOT free IF you properly care for them. The fee asked by many shelters to adopt an already speyed or neutered cat is less than the cost of getting one fixed on your own. I am on a first name basis with my vet and they know my cats are as well cared for as any in their practice. |

Thank you Channel 2 for airing the interview with Stephanie on the news. Some people have already sent donations to help care for the animals. We operate day to day, wondering if we can keep the shelter going for one more week. When a person takes on the responsibility of owning a pet cat, it should include spaying/neutering. Cats breed like rabbits and every community is overrun with feral and discarded pet cats. Many of them starve and die of diseases. Those who don't die, breed unchecked, and their offspring become neighborhood nuisances.
The only way domestic cats know how to get food is to wait until a human puts it in their dish. Anyone interested in helping Stephanie's Animal Shelter and Rescue,Inc. please visit our website @www.stephaniesanimalrescue.co m . Click on "abandoned" to view some of the cats and kittens and learn how low income pet owners can get vouchers for low cost spay/neuter from the NYS. |

Plenty of animal loving people, that's who. |
|
Go ahead and fatten up those pets. You'll need them when you can't afford food. Cat is a sweetmeat, dog is a stew meat. |
|
Visit Stephanie's Animal Shelter website @ www.stephaniesanimalrescue.com . They will be eligible for a NYS spay/neuter voucher to get them spayed/neutered for a $30 copay. Some vets charge for extras and require a pre-surgical visit. A spay/neuter contract is required with a copy of spay/neuter certificate returned to the shelter. |
