Are there any Qix subscribers that are having difficulties with there internet connections?

The question is who isn't having problems with Qix internet. The quality of the connection is piss poor and speeds are nowhere near what is advertised! You are better off sticking with dial up service or getting satellite internet.

Doug never answers or returns any calls on any numbers or replies to contact us emails. After giving him 480.00 for a dish -(which he won't buy back even at a discount so I'm stuck with it) and months of very slow poor connectivity - I went back to NetZero Highspeed 3G dial up. He wouldn't come to house or return calls - only once did he call and was rude and yelled and said it was operator error - yeah right? Anyone want a newish satelitte dish for 200.00? His monthly fee is only 20.00 - just don't expect ANY service.

Does anyone with Qix.net have service right now? My connection has been down for several days now. Doug's voicemail is full so you cannot even leave him a message. No one will return voicemails left on their office voicemail. Doug's e-mail and the tech support e-mails are down as well and all messages get kicked back undeliverable!
Does anyone know a lawyer that is willing to start a class action lawsuit against Qix.net due to fraud? They rip you off $480 on the equipment charges and do not stand behind their service!

Been there done that. Doug is nothing but a liar and a crook that spent time in jail. my father and brother are attorneys in Lapeer. Wonder if they'd be interested in the lawsuit?

Derek is obviously just a tool in regards to Doug's Dirty work. As long as Doug keeps his puppet boy full of candy bars, he'll do as he says, hopefully someday Doug will teach him some hygiene and he can move up to landscaping, or fast food dispensing. I think we all have been stung by Doug and his shady dealings, apparently he cares more about expanding his one man operation (and puppet) in hopes for a big buyout, rather than treating his American customers fairly and with the respect they deserve. If it's true that you get what's coming to you... Avoid the roof that Doug is on when the lightning is in the distance and moving fast.

Sure do. I have their cell numbers & home email. Derek hates when you write him at home on his private account by the way. They both have caller ID on their cells.

- Doug Hansen use to be <dough@qix.net>, but he got so many emails on it that he changed it to <ddaryl@qix.net>. He lives in Fenton as you can see from the article. His cell is (eight one zero - three nine four - nine three one - six one seven six).
I suggest we all get together and sue him for our $400 back. The only problem is if you read the contract they have it states that they make no promises that it'll work and they don't support MS Outlook either. I doubt we'll get very far.

I emailed Derek and told him to cancel my account and that they were no authorized to take payments from my credit card. He emailed me back and told me he has quit Qix and no longer communicates with Doug.

I now have Sprint Mobile Broadband and my speeds are amazing.

They did that to me as well. Kept taking payments after I told them not too. Had to file with Credit Card company, but eventually Doug gave me two of the three months back. However, it really never worked correctly.

Think Derek really quit? Bet it's a line....

I was happy with my internet service from QIX.net for about 6 months.....maybe. Then, suddenly in October, my internet started working only sometimes.....in November it got worse. I called Doug, from QIX and he told me that I must have a virus. He said I had to re-boot my computer (re-image it - wipe everything off and start again), so I did. In December, it still wasn't working, so he told me I had to do it again, I must have a virus....so I did.(I lost all of the pictures of my family on my computer)
Finally at the end of December, he decided that my dish really had gone bad and came out to replace it. I was without internet for 2.5 months. Doug has said he'll give me a one month refund, though cause he didn't remember my being out of internet for that long.
It worked great for about 2 months. Then, every so often it would go down here and there...spotty. It often wasn't working when I needed it, evenings and weekends. Then, July 28 it went down completely. I have not had internet since. I'm on my 19th day without internet.
He's even told the neighbors that I use too much internet, and that is my problem!! Hello? I pay for it don't I?

I've had Qix in Attica since the end of January, and the very day Doug & Derek installed it, it was down for two hours. So I decided to keep a log of every time it was up or down. I kept this up, along with many calls to Doug, until mid-April and I sent them a formal letter, essentially saying fix it or else. I gave them another three weeks, and it started working better. Since then it has been spotty, but somewhat decent. It isn't what they advertised for sure.

It bothers me that they can't keep this "service" running good, when they came to do the intall he was driving a brand new black GMC Denali!

He told me that has a a Navy Seal during Vietnam! What was he a drummer boy!!

I agree Doug is a bad man, but that is a little harsh on your part towards derek. I'm sure we've all had a bad boss and wouldn't wanna be labeled because of them?
