I could not believe when I read this story and viewed it on television. This owner actually thought he could get away with running a bordello, pimping out women, selling drugs and alcohol to children underage, sell hard narcotic's and spread diseases all over town and get away with it??!!

He actually hired a "madam" some sixty year old asia immigrant to "train" girls for hooking, man that takes a lot of ballls dont it? I read in another forum by someone who knows him a month or two ago that he and his staff think they are "above the law" or something, they at that dirty diseased scumbum bar thought they had the cops and mayor in thier back pockets! they thought WRONG! how brazen they were to think the residents and law were going to let them run a STD and drug house. Its a bad ghetto area and the crime was terrible, I heard two white guy were set up by the strippers pimps and shot and robbed! Thank God its closed down for good. This man thought he ruled boynton, Chief Immilar and the police showed him different, we dont want his trash in our city.

The pictures of the employess was real sad and scary the women looked so old and haggard drugged and zombie like, not at all attractive, like the walking sick dead or something, who in their right mind would pay to see ugly trash like that?

We are so happy its gone, thank you BB police. they can take thier ugly asses and diseases away and their drugs and go away, they should test the customers for HIV I think, and may agree. Thank you again BB police for ridding our city of this gutter garbage that bred crime putting all us citizens of boynton in danger. Finally its over!

I enjoy reading the topix. We were out of town for a few days and I just caught up. We live in Boynton and I am a single mom of two teens ages 13 and 16 my husband died in a car accident 7 yrs ago.

I was outraged and appauled that this man Matt Barrows could operate a filthy bordello condoning AIDS and every other STD there is, serve alcohol to teenagers and sell them drugs and conduct every seedy sleazy nasty criminal act there is and get away with it so long. Thankfully is time has come.

I asked my teens if they heard you could buy drugs and alcohol there they said they heard you could that the strippers sold dope to anybody of underage and it was common knowledge among teens.

That is criminal and savage. Too actually sell dope to kids and beer and then the owner sold underage girls for prostitution, there was no dancing going on there all sex and drugs to minors.

I am glad my kids never went there. The management would probably have my 13 yr old lapdancing dirty old men and my 16 yr old son selling hard drugs in the parking lot. Teens have enough pressure about sex and drugs, not too mention the horrific car crashes that occur when teens drink drug and drive and this 54 yr old dirty old man owner was allowing it and encouraging it and proud of it! it makes you want to beat him to a pulp and he and all those strippers with diseases should be tested for HIV, the health dept should be involved too.

Thank You Chief Immlar and BB police force for finally putting this house of disease and drugs out of business forever, parents thank you and we have a new found respect for the BB force. Parents I spoke with are so angry about this we plan to attend his trial and speak our mind. Hopefully he will not see the light of day for awhile and his strippers will crawl back under the rock they came from.

There are two sides to every story. This place had it's fair share of drugs in there and so do most bars and clubs in south FL. Go to Ft. Lauderdale or better yet two gerge's in Boynton. As Far as a 13 yr old and 16 yr old knowing about what goes on in this club maybe that mother should check who her kids are hanging out with. Also to ge tthe charge for prostitution all someone has to do is set a price for a service, which scum bag men so often do. Take a trip into a club and watch the men in the club, watch your husbands, fathers business men pull inot the parking lot change there shirt so they won't smell like a strip club before they go in and watch them step outside to talk to there kids and wife. It's easy to point the blame at many other people when your angry, listen and observe all sides before you pass judgement.

i do agree that the men should be accountable too. from what i understand there is a lot of video-tapes and pictures of customers solicting sex and buying drugs there and i hope they get arrested very soon also; they are just as guilty as the ones who sold it. more arrests are going to occur the police said. hopefully the men.

i am no fan of strip clubs and dont really respect the employees or the customers perhaps that is because of what goes on down here. i thought strip bars were basically a guy over 21 going in for a beer and looking at a dancer or stage, that really sounds innocent and it is! but when prostitution and drug selling and selling to underage kids risking AIDS and diseases that is wrong. some of these clubs push the limits and there are dangers, this bar had trouble for years, shootings, beatings, setups, drugs, prostitution, diseases and even rape.....bad news from the start, if it lowers the criminal element in boynton well its worth it.

yes sunshine your idea of a strip club does sound innocent and amazing, however not in south Florida. This particular bar is 18 and over to gt in. And it is sad about the STD rates, statistically if you look at demographical data south FL has the highest HIV/AIDS rate in the country as it is, wiht the top being Spanish and African Americans. So to bring that into an enviroment where sex and drugs go on it is a shame. I am not sad to see this place go, I am however dissapointed in so many people who feel the need to put there two cents in when they don't kow all the facts and just assume that the management and staff had 100% knowledge of what was going behind closed doors, trying to manage drug addicted strippers who make their money off of men who ae willing to pay for whatever they can get, can't be too easy. The manager's never recieved first hand profits from the girls for selling drugs or having sex of any kind, dancer's are required to pay house fees for working in a club and to tip out the staff, whatever and how much money they make is there's. So when and undercover cop asks a girl where he can get a blow job, and her stupid ass says, here, and hen agrees on a price, that's between the drug addict girl and the officer, not management. Oh and Platinum didn't have camera's in there club, Cheetah does. There evidence was them going in and observing and talking to stripers.

you are correct i guess we will never really know exactly what went down in this place. i just was surprised to learn that the owner hired a "madam" we all know that is a woman who keeps the prositutes in line and working, but that is usually in a bordello not a strip bar? it was odd.

other than the issue about the disease risk i think what really made me upset was the underage drinking and drug use, teens are under SO much pressure from the media and television, i thought that bar was "21 and over" but they did find strong evidence of underage drinking and drug sales, as a parent that concerned me, through like you said the owner may have been unaware of it. i cannot believe he did everything they said, that would be so stupid so clueless, like he was begging to be closed down. but hiring a madam was not cool, if thats true, only one reason for that.

its a shame because i believe some strippers just want to dance and not be mauled or touched or hurt and they dont want to have sex with the customers or do drugs, a few bad apples i guess.....the area is really bad now through, its always been bad with or without a strip club. very high crime and lots of drugs shootings and killings. north boynton is bad however you look at it for years!

I have known Mat for over 30 years and he does not drink or do drugs and has NEVER knowinglt allowed prostitution or selling of drugs in any of his establishments. I have visited Platinium showgirls and was actually amazed at what a tight ship he ran. There are alot of strip clubs in south florida that knowing let these activities go on. This was a wtch hunt out to get rid of this club. The city had offered mat nearly 7 million dollars not more than a year and a half ago to leave Boyton beach. Thats right, 7 million. Mat ran a respectable club and all the women who worked there respected him. He would go out of his way to help them in any way. Most of the girls invested in homes because of Mat . I wish him all the best in this court battle. Also, Mat wasn't the one selling drugs or profiting from prostitution. It was the girls who worked there. And to POGOSTICK, 18 years old is not a kid. Just ask the men and women in our armed services if they are a kid, cause they are dying for you every day !!
