I just spent a few days there and noticed that there were no bums on the boardwalk or sleeping in the casino. Do the cops run them off everyday or did they just move on to someplace else?

Don't know when you were in "DO AC", but the town is alive with the homeless, drug and alcohol addicted. Can't count how many times I've been hit on by some scroung wanting a handout, they go to "Sister Jean's" , get their eats, hit the streets, harass the public for their hard earned money and go back to the mission across from the parking garage of the rail terminal and complete the cycle of their three hots and a cot! Great way to run a town. When I lived there, there was NO catering to this bullshit, the cops would take them out to the City limits, tell Slappy to follow his nose, keep walking and don't come back again!

Just returned from 4 days in AC, spent most of my time on the boardwalk and the Atlantic ave shopping malls and of course in the many casinos. the ENTIRE time in AC I saw ONE person that looked like a bum or drunk. Had a GREAT TIME. felt MUCH MUCH safer than the streets of NYC or Philly..

ok I was there last Tuesday and Wednesday. It looks like PA is sending their worst cases. The woman who murdered two women shoppers with a 12 inch butcher knife was from Philly.

I went to the Atlantic Club. I got my Ultra card. They said I had use of the Chairman Club. Come to find out, its only open on the week-end, whatever that means.

Then I saw a woman playing at a machine who looked like her face was eaten away underneath. I went in the bathroom and she was there.

She was totally delusional, and smelled like death. She said she was a model and a singer. I sprayed her with Shalimar and left just as she was about to ask me for money.

People in AC just sit and stand around asking for money from tourists. Its amazing. So many people asking you for money. I worked really hard for that money. They have no shame. I've had young people who were just walking around disturb me resting on a bench on the Boardwalk to ask me for money.

I said "When I was your age, I had two jobs". I should have protested more vigorously against welfare. People have a mentality now where they expect to be just handed money for doing nothing.

I'll tell you what next time I'm there, I'm going to ask that stinky woman in the Atlantic Club where she's from. I'm curious if she is from PA, and if they are actually sending these people there.

But what about the people from AC? Don't they care that they are hurting the tourist industry asking for money all the time?

What can AC do if PA is sending their worst cases? Maybe give them a nice bus ticket right back!! That'll learn em!

You have to understand, we live in a Nanny State where people are not responsible, for anything! In Social Services, it is refered to as the client-state mentality, or the "help me out, mister", ilk, who always have their hand out and do not want a hand up! Give this country another 10-20 years of this crap and I feel we are on the rapid decline to becoming a third world country! I've always maintained, we are reverting back to the Middle Ages when it was unsafe due to "highway men" to travel, the people stunk due to lack o personal hygene and they lived on the Lord's manor as vassels to do his bidding, like what's going on now! The people busted their asses for next to nothing, just to be protected from the rest of the crazies outside of the castle walls! Anyone think I'm just blowing smoke, open your eyes and take a good hard look around you at what's going on, then tell me I'm wrong!
