Hate to say it but the Park Ave Cafť wont be the last one you see closing this winter. Yes, tents may be too high for the area. But when you add in the taxis and the tax increases, the high utility bills, permits, insurance, food and the high cost of labor its hard for stores to survive these days. And add in the fact that unfortunately many of these restauranteurs donít really know how to please their customers, to make them stay with you...
Some of these place would rather take their steady customers for granted and just forget about them and thatís a good way to lose them. Others just have that attitude thinking that they are owed your business because of one thing or another. Time to wake up boys, the party doesnít last forever.
Teach your help how to serve and to be pleasant. or your regulars will find other places to go to. Restaurants are a dime a dozen in Long Beach, so donít take your customers cor granted. If I were in your place, when you have a loyal customer Iíd bend down backwards to please them, especially in todayís economy, and with this president who only know how to tax, I canít foresee any change as long as heís around
