Well people, I was the other rider whom wasnt hurt. I love my pwc, as she loved hers. we dont have buyers remorse, and she would do it again. She was going moderate speed, went over the wake, her hand slipped from the throttle, and the boat stopped instantly. her body was thrown forward, and her aortic artery was severed. She truned white in my arms, and died happy, and full of life. I loved that woman with my entire life! Yet I couldn't save her.
Oh my goodness!!! I cannot imagine what it must have been like to endure that. You have my deepest sympathies and I will keep you in my prayers. I honestly do not know what to say!!

I do pray that GOD will wrap HIS arms around you and comfort you!!

GOD bless you, dear!!

I was with Shannon on that beautiful day of apr 5. Just 10 minutes before the accident, we were talking about our plans of a new life together. She was extremely happy, and looking forward to her new career for marriott sawgrass which she was to start on monday. Shannie went over the medium wake at moderate speed when her hand slipped off of the throttle, causing the pwc to stop instantly on the face of the second wake. Her body was tossed forward, severing her aortic artery. She thought she was ok, and the next instant whispered “I love you” with her last breath. I screamed for her to come back, but there was no reaction. While performing cpr, i was waiving the next boater down. Capt Jim Anderson and his crew hoisted shannie to their boat, called 911 and the rest is in the news. I loved that woman with everything I could offer. She passed with love in her heart, and happiness in her soul. no suffering, just pure joy. I will always love and miss you, Shannie, and I hope to see you soon! Nathan J Cotton. Jax Beach FL

Yes sir! I use to live in Jacksonville and no amount of money could make me move back. Peace and quiet is heaven. Deer in the back yard, etc. I get so many fresh chicken eggs I'm bringing them to work and giving them away. Mud bogs are a blast to go to. The muddier the better. Guess you can tell I'm a true redneck!
i used to live on 10 acres of land near where old kings and new kings rd meet....it backed up to a tree farm so it was all woods and i loved it too..quiet..animals..could go mudbogging in my back yard..but i grew up off dunn ave and i had to get back to civilization after a couple of years..i love goin muddin..went in highschool and for years after..but every place people went in jax has been shut down because of dumbasses who cant have a good time without doing something stupid and ruining it for everyone else..it was awesome out there..it was on private property..no drinking allowed...real family atmosphere.....im going back next year and competing......im not a redneck..but i have redneck tendencies..ha

i lost my bestfriend who was closer than a brother to me nearly 3 years ago..we were so close that we called each others mothers 'mom'..our mothers introduced us to people as both of their sons...it broke my heart and devastated me...sadly..i didnt get to tell him goodbye..he died the day he was supposed to be released from the hospital. we had plans to go out and celebrate that weekend because he had been sick for a long time and was finally better...i cant say im envious because you got to tell her goodbye, but you know what...you will know you always had that very last moment together..and it was doing something she obviously loved....the love in your words so soon after such a tragedy is inspiring....theres really nothing more that can be said to you except that remember she is always with you...you can still talk to her when you need to. she will hear you.....and even though she is gone from this earth you can have the peace knowing even for a brief time, you had someone you obviously loved dearly in your life. God bless you sir and good luck..i pray you find peace and closure in your life.

Then you need to move to Tennessee! You would get along great here!
I've been to Tennessee and loved it. I use to go once a year to see my ex-mother-in-law. She lived in Madisonville, TN., not far from Knoxville. I've been to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, The Lost Sea (which was amazing). I loved it in the mountains. I'd like to go back and ride my Harley through the mountains.

I'm so sorry. I couldn't imagine. May God Bless you and her family. My deal is, if I died riding my Harley, I've told my family just remember I died happy doing what I loved the most. Sounds like she did too. God Bless!

My thoughts and prayers are with you. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that her life, heart and soul were filled with love, joy and happiness. In her last moments she loved completely and felt completely loved, which is a gift you can treasure for a lifetime. God Bless you and her children. Take care of each other and time will eventually allow the healing to begin.

Can't go anywhere yet. My husband's very ill and may not live another year. If something happens to him I'll be headed that way just to get away. I plan on trailering my bike to Franklin, NC. My brothers live there and not far from the Blue Ridge Parkway. They said it's a beautiful ride on a motorcyle. I wouldn't mind stopping by and saying hello to a person I've been corresponding with.

LOL, that's just too funny.
Yeah, when her oldest daughter and sons read these comments, I'm sure their tears will be from laughter.

Her death is your great amusement. Why is that?
