I will say it again - putting medians, flowers and palm trees up will do nothing to stop the hookers and drug dealers on the streets 24/7. The city should have taken the $5.5 million and hired more police. All they are doing is trying to make it look "pretty" and nothing else. Anyone who thinks that it will be safer just because it looks better is an idiot. There was only one place on Mayport Road that I would go and spend my money and now that is blocked by the stupid contruction barrels so as with the rest of my money it will go elsewhere and be spent.

Just so long as the Mayor and city council keep their noses out of the businesses that have been there longer than any of them...If they want to live in a place that looks like PVB, I suggest the lot of them move there....

Well they polished Jax beach and no one complained, Its just like you people to throw negativity at this since you do not live in the area, and they are not rehabing your pot hole in front of you house, get over it!
