Rep. Frost Trying to Seal Public Records?
We have a great deal of concern that Representative Frost could now be trying to abuse his position.
Texas Insider Report: AUSTIN, Texas State Representative Stephen Frost (D-Texarkana) will petition the court Friday, September 17th at 8:30am in Travis County, to seal certain transcripts & documents concerning his relationship with a registered lobbyist. These documents are currently public but have been withheld pending this hearing.
The Friday September 17th, 8:30am hearing will be in the Travis County Courtroom of Judge Orlinda Naranjo, 419th District Court.
We have noticed that State Representative Stephen Frosts voting record in the last two years has taken a hard turn to the left, said Allen Blakemore, a spokesman for Conservative Republicans of Texas.
We believe these public records could shed light on a possible cause of that shift as well as upon other legally pertinent issues, including the accuracy of sworn lobby and campaign finance reports, and whether conflict of interest issues have occurred.
It is in the publics interest for these documents to remain open and available, Blakemore said.We feel the public has a strong interest in knowing if Stephen Frosts votes have been influenced by this relationship with a lobbyist.
Finally, we have a great deal of concern that Representative Frost could now be trying to abuse his position in order to influence the withdrawal of public documents from public view, said Blakemore.
It is highly unlikely that ordinary citizens could cause evidence of possible wrongdoing to be pulled from the public arena. A public official should live up to a higher level of transparency, not use his position to cover up public information, Blakemore said.
Exhibits that Representative Frost is attempting to seal include, an hour and a half of deposition testimony from February 11, 2010, text messages between the State Representative and lobbyist, and email.

Vote this State Rep.out. He can not be trusted with his vote. THERE ARE STRICT LAWS THAT PREVENT REGISTERED LOBBYIST and Texas State Rep's. from having affairs with each other. Too much is at stake.Too much influencing takes place between the sheets. If Frost was not guilty he would not have had the records sealed of someone else's divorce case. Not to mention he is now divorced to. What elase has he sold us out on. We probably will never know. Frost is up in Austin writing and passing bills that are later voted into law. Just cant trust him !

Attorney General Abbott Obtains Guilty Pleas In Bowie County Voter Fraud Case
Texarkana city councilwoman and co-defendant admit to ballot offenses
TEXARKANA - Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott has accepted guilty pleas from two Bowie County women who admitted they illegally handled mail-in ballots during the November 2004 general election.
Texarkana Ward 2 City Councilwoman Willie J. Ray, 69, pleaded guilty Monday to the Class B misdemeanor charge of handling mail-in ballots of another person and agreed to serve eight months probation and pay a $200 fine. Co-defendant Jamillah Johnson, 30, agreed to six months probation and a fine of $200.
A third defendant, Melinda Hunter, 35, will undergo a supervised six-month pretrial diversion, the successful completion of which will determine whether a similar charge against her is dropped. All three defendants were indicted by a Bowie County grand jury in February.
These guilty pleas demonstrate precisely why it is so important to uphold the integrity of our election process in this state, said Attorney General Abbott. We will visit justice upon any who ignore the fact that we have election laws in Texas and they apply to everyone.
The three women illegally assisted elderly and other voters in their applications for mail-in ballots. When the ballots were delivered by mail, the women collected the completed ballots, then mailed them for the residents. The offense is a violation of Chapter 86 of the Texas Election Code.Duke STEEL /FROST ,WILLIE RAY IS COMMITTING VOTER FRAUD for you AS I OPINE TO YOUR BS.sINCE YOU HAVE NO FACT OF LAVENDER ,YOU MAKE IT UP .YOU MAKE ME SICK TO MY STOMACH.SEAL YOUR BIG MOUTH.......

One fact I can prove. I have attended almost every water meeting possible since 2000, Region D, SRBA, State Water Board, City of Dallas. Frost was at some of these meetings even before he was State Representative and you all know the fight he has put up against Marvin Nichols Res.
Now he is being critized by Lavender. At no time in the past ten years have I seen Lavender at a single water meeting. IT TAKES MORE THAN SAYING YOU ARE AGAINST MARVIN NICHOLS TO STOP IT.
With the lack of effort of people like Lavender, Marvin Nichols would have already been built. He hasn't even got in the fight yet.
By the way my location as Sulphur Sage will show up as Texarkana, but I really live on the river.

LAWMAKER FROST HELPS SEAL LOBBYIST RECORDS
Amid the race for what could be his fourth term in the House, State Representative Stephen Frost filed a motion to seal the records of an Austin lobbyist and her ex-husband late last month, a case in which the East Texas Democrat was deposed in February during the divorce proceedings.
On Sept.17,2010 98th District Court Judge Rhonda Hurley sealed those records, meaning everything filed in the case will now be hidden from the public.
Exhibits that Representative Frost had sealed were an hour and a half of deposition testimony about their relationship and all text messages and emails between State Representative Stephen Frost and Abortion Lobbyist Sandra Haverlah.
This case involves communications between lobbyist and lawmaker. The public has a right to know the contents of State Representative Stephen Frost's deposition. The lobbyists ex-husband filed for divorce in January 2009 on the basis of adultery, according to court records. News source KXAN News Austin Texas ,Texas Insider Report Austin Texas
