New people move to our town and buy a business! I think it's great except when they make an ass of themselves and the people around them!As much as the cops have been call, beating the crap out of each other, volating probation, and envolving other people in their personal affair, how can they stay in business. LCC should of closed that business down long ago. I personal know that both husband and wife(or ex) has charges againest them.
If it was you or me they would of shut us down long ago!!!!
Yes, you probley guess who I'm talking about.....J & J Backwater's.
If you's want to be idiots to each other that's find but leave other out of it!!!
The last i heard that Jim did to the lil' jen is sick.
Why don't you's take you're crap out of our town and back down state!!!
Also think about your son and the crap he has to go throw and listen to!!!

The new people who moved to town and bought a business probly had no idea what kind of town it is. My wife and I visit often and we go to J&J's Backwaters for food and drinks and will not go anywhere else, and the many times we have been there we have never been subject to any of their problems. we do know that the lil'jen you refer to ia aka the skank of atlanta, lewiston & alpena and she keeps on coming back for more. I would say she creates her own problems, as far as their son is concerned we think he's doing fine. we feel that if you feel that people get caught up in their crap then just stay out of J&J's!

Im a full-timer there, never have I seen any of these action you are saying about these two nice people,if they were so bad people then why is it that there bar is very busy, they do more business than the other two bars in town,it sounds like your jealous-- and if you dont want to be around jim and jennifer than why dont you just go to one of the other bars in town and stay out of jjs. seems like you dont have any thing else to do but to slander them-- get a life!!!!

I like that bar and they seem like nice people. We go in there fairly often. Just because they have personal problems doesn't mean they can't have a business. Everyone should just mind their own business.

The first thing I want to say is,who ever put this article up has terrible grammer. Secondly, what ever goes on in our personal life is non of your business. Our personal life has nothing to with running a business. That little jen is the stupidest person I have ever meet, and needs to get out of Atlanta because she causes a lot of problems for a lot of people.

I for one like that bar. As far as the owner's personal life it should be kept personal. I believe they are doing a great job running their business and I hope it stays for years to come.

Well I'd go to JJ's even if everyone else decided to go to one of the other dives:
Coaches corner - stinks - and service sucks.
the wedge? are you kidding that place is a joke, always has been always will be. It's a shame too, The owner is a pretty decent person, it's his wife that runs most of the business away.
As far as JJ's goes, the guy (JIM) spent a lot of money and even his own sweat and labor rebuilding the place and making it into the local hot spot it is today.
Remember when the old owners had it run down so bad they had the lights shut off? I do, that when it was a real crap hole.
As far as the personal life of the business owner, I dont really see what that has to do with it being one of the very few independantly owned businesses that stay open all day AND SURVIVE unlike other places that cose at 4 or therbouts.
Why doesn't Atlanta have a resturaunt that serves Supper?
And Betty and Bucks is not an option you cant count on them being open, or even in business much longer as far as I see in the local paper.
You know who I am - so dont reply unless you use your real name.

I think you're mistaken by the "old owners". Before its was JJ's is was McBrides, many people know that. Not once in the TEN years of business were the lights shut off due to not paying the electricity bill, i think you were referring to Northern Lights...(what it was called before McBrides), its nickname was "No Lights" because the owner never paid the bill...but that was wayyyy before my Family. Just so we're clear.

Well you are aware of the old owners, and how shoddy the business was prior.
So take alook at how far it has come since then and maybe even stop by after 10PM on about any weekend and I'm sure you will be suprized with what you find.

It's not like there will be standing room only, but hey at least something is working in this town.

It's nice to know you dont have to travel too far for a good time at least.

Which bring up the question... What is a 17/18 year old kid doing hanging in a bar almost every weekend? Bars are not for kids to hang out in.

are u guys kidding? J&Js does have the best food in town by far.....but as far as the bar scene goes its horrible. maybe once every few months it might be busy.....and pretty much having anyone under 21 in the bar at night just ruins business

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Aquarius

This is a good day for getting on with chores and mundane tasks. You'd much rather get them out of the way than have them hanging over you for any longer than necessary. What's more, you don't want to waste your time by doing things in the wrong order or by being so slapdash that you have to do something a second time. You're setting a terrific example right now!
