Haunted: Atlanta, Michigan, Camp 8 Cabin, Not Haunted? Reported: August 21, 2007

I have been out in the Camp 8 area many times. Some for work and other times for "research" And I have never observed anything supernatural. Also have been in the area in daylight and dark. The best i can tell this is an urban legend or the result of some local creating horseshit...

There is no haunting out on Camp 8. I for one have never seen anything out of the ordinary out there and I am out that way quite a bit.

Camp 8 probably isn't haunted...but its a tradition for all kids to go out there and get scared...sooo...get over it.

Listen the place you all claim to be haunted on Camp 8 isn't. In fact it's privet owned and if you go onto the property that’s trespassing and legal action will be taken. You are all stupid if you go out there cause it will only get you in trouble. Try asking some teenagers around Atlanta they know from last years experience with going out there and messing around places they shouldn’t.

Well we have a cabin in Atlanta, we have been to both cabins at the intersection of Camp 8 and Old State...i think they were creepy because we had the mentality that they were haunted.

I've lived here most of my life and that area has always been known for it's unexplained and odd occurrances. Most can be explained to the over active imaginations of the majority of pepole but there are some cases that were seen by several sober and sound minded pepole at the same time. On a late fall night back in "73" I was one of five that saw not only red eyes in the fog but the presents of "swamp gas" above the tree line with what was most likely phosphorus gases glowing. Scarey yes, but supernatural? Well we were sure what the glow was but the "eyes" blinked two or three times and then left the spot where we had first spotted it. Now kiddies, that will thrill the heart if not dampen your pantys on any night whether with two friends or ten. Sights, sounds and the feel of your hairs standing up. What a rush! Swamp gas? Maybe. Animals(lightly colored)? Maybe. How about restless spirits? Maybe. You make the call. Head out there with some friends and spend some time. Please respect the dead and keep a open mind and if you believe in a higher power you might want to see if you could bring that along also.
