Spartan is obssessed with race. He's had problems with his mother and a deep seated hatred of whites. Most _YOUNG_ low income blacks in big cities are thugs muggers and killers. They dress like scum, scarey looking and ugly. Animals, sub human. If you don't believe that you don't watch the news.

To Round NC:

Oh NO. No, it is NOT okay for black people to hate white people. It's not okay for anybody to hate anybody.

I never said that it was.

I'm the American Indian whose tribe no longer exists because of the white man. Blacks are also living on my land as well. My religion is no longer valued. My land now belongs to everyone else but me. My people are scattered around this world. The Jews have the Holocaust Museum and are receive continuous sympathy from around the world. We died in thousands as well and yet there is no monument for us.

Although I could spend days griping and demanding apologies, I am choosing to focus my attention on the more serious issues at hand. Our kids are finding friends and comfort in meth houses. Our elderly are searching for pennies to pay their light bill or to purchase the essential medicine needed to keep them breathing. Over 12000 people are presumed dead in the overseas quake. Another 3000 are dead after a deadly typhoon overseas. Men and women of all nationalities are dying in a war that is inevitably not going to be won. Our students continue to fall further and further behind other students in major countries. Don't forget the planet. We seem to forget that we can't just pick up and move to the next planet. Hmm...what else?

While I hate what happened to my people in the past, I cannot change it. It's simply the past. I can't correct the shallow minds that still linger. All I can do is take each day and live it in such a way that will leave both me and my God smiling on Judgement Day. So while others gripe about the shallowness of some men's souls, I'm the one out there trying to correct some of our social problems while spreading some hope and compassion throughout our world. I may not change a whole lot of lives. I may not raise a lot of money for charities. But, I am trying to set an example for all those that might be watching and wondering what's important.

What will you do with your days?

Winnfield Senior High School has had segregated proms for every year I can think of.{except 2003) The School itself refused to get involved with the prom's planning and the school board has refused to even acknowledge the issue. They leave it in the hands of the students, which in turn falls into the hands of the parents who then decide to keep the students separated.
Mind you I gave the Winnfield Tigers 4 years of my life at Stokes-Walker. I stood on the offensive and defensive line with both black and white players. We shared victory and defeat together; yet when it's all over, we're hindered from celebrating the end of our school days together because of some people who are afraid of mixing the ethnicities?
Control of social functions based on race is a form of racism.
Other good examples of racism include:
The Holocaust
Segregation
Jim Crow Laws
Internment Camps for the Japanese after the bombing of Pear Harbor
Police Officers using hoses and dogs to try to break up what were once-peaceful protests (which, mind you, is a violation of the constitution's 1st amendment)
So, in closing, I'll say this. It's virtually impossible for any minority to be racist. Bigoted, I don't doubt that. I know many blacks who hate whites, but they're not in the position to control them.
The man I just quoted is an obvious bigot. He sincerely seems to believe that all black people live on welfare and want hand-outs. He seems to believe that without all the "gimmes" black people would have a leg to stand on.
I'm not on welfare.
I don't ask your tax dollars for a dime.
I attend college.
And there are thousands of black people just like me.
Besides, most people on welfare are white females with 1 to 2 children. So, how about you start digging up some facts, alright?
Black people didn't have 1st amendment rights in Alabama in the '60's. Which refers to the Jim Crow laws. Which refers to you can go back to Africa if you don't like it here. Slavery is the best thing that ever happened to African Americans . Have you ever been to Africa. The average caloric intake is 400 daily. A 99 cent whopper junior contains that many calories. How would you like to die of AIDS, or how about Ebola. Ebola sounds nice. Bleeding out of every opening in your body till you die a month later. Then we can go into other things that we have very little of in America. Like animal related deaths. I have never once been worried about getting mauled by a lion in my sleep. People in Africa do. I have also never had my arm hacked off because I go to church on Sundays instead of the mosque. African Americans want to bitch about their treatment here. Well it isn't that bad. Also, don't even talk about Abraham Lincoln being the savior of the slaves. Had Lincoln lived you would all have been rounded up, and taken back. Where you ask? To Africa. A lovely little war-torn country called Liberia. Too bad he got shot.

I am so sorry if I misunderstood you. I really think that I did not. When you stated:"I think what you're thinking about is bigotry, which is a more simple form of hatred, but it's not racism. Not by a long shot.", I assumed that you were accepting the bigotry that is so prevalent with the younger blacks in this country toward whites. A very prime example is the atrocity that took place in Jena last year when those six black football players beat a white male student and was found to have a "hit list" of names of white students who were to be systematically beaten for no other reason than that they were white. I was surprised to find how many black people under the age of 35 - 40 seemed to think that this behavior could be explained away satisfactorily by saying the boys had felt "threatened and insulted" by a racial slur that had taken place 4 months earlier. But I was totally apalled when two of the six walked onto the stage of the BET awards show as "honored presenters" and received a standing ovation for that behavior. Tell me, Spartan. When was the last time you saw or heard a large group of white people supporting that sort of violent hatred? In my 53 years... even going through total integration in the late 60's, I never heard more than a few mouthy, white trash people behave like that or even hint that they would support such behavior. Do you not see anything wrong with that attitude? Do you not see that as more important than some little po-dunk store like Nichol's with some slightly more than minimum wage job preferring whites as employees? Count yourself lucky to have avoided that position and start trying to change the way that black youths are being taught to hate. Then we can finally start moving toward brotherhood and away from stupidity and hatred. As long as people like those "teachers" at Grambling are teaching little children how white men treated blacks by putting their 5 and 6 year old necks in nooses... promoting fear and hatred.. we are doomed to continue as is.

Now, I have to applaud this. By far some of the most racists idiots are as black as a burnt skillet. I am sick of hearing them pull the race card out every stinking time. NAACP must stand for N_____ Are Always Causing Problems. Spartan seems very typical of them. No, Spartan, I do not know you and don't care to know you. If you are unhappy here haul your chocolate ass back to tha so-called muthaland and throw some spears around. Good comparison on the caloric content of the Burger King Hamburger. That's all you see is Monkeys up there ordering dem .99 whoppas. Watch the BK commercials and see whom they target in their marketing. Racist Marketing could be a new term. I, too, wished Old Abe would have lived to have shipped them back to they muthaland. Reckon we can dig him up and revive him? That reminds me, I have to order a new Confederate flag to fly at my house.

Great job fellow Round. However, arguing with an idiot the caliper of Spartan is useless. Just like Obama, everytime you point to something negative, Spartan thinks you are being racist. If that makes me racist, then I am gonna be till I die. Spartan is young and stupid.

In response to Mychell Bell and Purvis, the kid who moved to Texas and still couldn't stay out of trouble, screw em.

If you get a second chance, you're supposed to make the best of it. Those two didn't. To their original plight, I was sympathetic. Not for them to be freed, but to at least be tried fairly. When those trumped charges were lessened, I was satisfied. When Purvis and Bell got in trouble again, I was disappointed. Now, I'm apathetic. If those other four stayed out of trouble, good for them. They made use of that second chance.

As for groups of whites advocating that kind of racial hatred: There are several Klan meetings and meetings of white power militia groups around the country all the time. They're just much better at remaining discreet. I, however, managed to find a list of their upcoming events.

Part TWO

BET...don't even get me started...Black Embarrassment Television.

Four reasons why BET is an embarrassment to black people:
http://blacksalvage.blogspot.com/2006/08/4-re...
1. BET did not air Coretta Scott King’s funeral on it’s station. BET claimed it wanted to offer viewers a different kind of experience by posting a live webcast on it’s website of the funeral where viewers could access it "at work, at home, traveling,[and] at school". Likewise, the four major networks; NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX all broadcast their own live webcasts on their respective websites. But these stations as well broadcast the funeral on television. C-SPAN and CNN also aired the funeral live.

This reason alone proves that BET is the epitome of trash on television. And not to equate the struggle of blacks with Coretta Scott King, but there would be no BET without her. BET felt that viewers would prefer to watch women shaking their rumps in music videos rather than some funeral for a beloved civil rights leader.

2. BET is not black entertainment television. It does not represent the views and ideals of the millions of Blacks in the United States collectively. The station has no right to such a name as it falsely identifies itself with Black people as a whole.

If BET is for Blacks, why does it’s music selection consist of only hip-hop, rap and R&B music rather than the works of blacks in many genres of music and entertainment. Why is its target audience, as stated by BET, "African Americans 18-34". Does Telemundo go out of it's way to destroy the reputation of Hispanics? No, it does not.

3.BET proudly airs(and has aired) programming that further permeates stereotypes about blacks, thus ingraining negative associations in the minds of people who are devout of much contact with blacks as it is. When I say it proudly airs this type of programming, let’s take for example, "BET Uncut", which was canceled on July 7, 2006. A description of the show, courtesy BET is as follows:"Sexy, seductive, steamy, provocative and controversial can barely describe UNCUT, BET’s late night over the top adult program. Aired in the wee hours of the morning, UNCUT was created specifically for mature viewers who enjoy raw, erotic, and mind-blowing entertainment. See your favorite hip-hop and R&B artists in a different light as they bring out their freaky renditions of videos that you will never see aired during normal BET viewing hours". A second description read "this sixty-minute ‘raunch’ fest gives the late night crowd an option to view deliberate 'un-sanitized' videos by mainstream and unsigned artists alike. UNCUT is solely adult entertainment-NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN".

Part THREE

For two reasons, I must say that this program airing on BET was a disgrace to the African-American. First of all, just because this program aired at 3 in the morning didn't mean it was off access to children. BET has argued that it was the fault of bad parenting if a child happened upon the show. Anyone and everyone with a hint of common sense knows that you cannot keep everything from your child that you don’t want he or she to see. And if this is a station for Blacks, I would assume that it would have material extending from G-rated to R-rated and nothing more. A station geared at Blacks surely includes Blacks young and old, otherwise they should take the initiative and change the station’s name to Young Misguided Black Men’s Entertainment Television(YMBMET for short), as that’s who 90% of it’s programming is geared at anyway. Would you believe me if I told you that the religious shows appeared immediately after BET Uncut’s 1 hour block.(BET Uncut's cancellation had nothing to do with protests of it's content, claims BET.)

4. BET supports the miseducation of the African-American. Every show that could have provided real and legitimate positive inspiration in a person’s life has been removed(unless it is a gospel show). Teen Summit which dealt with teens’ and their everyday issues was killed.‘BET Tonight with Tavis Smiley’ was likewise murdered. BET is more interested in shows that show lite pornography.

In short, screw BET. They don't speak for me.

The teacher at the Grambling Lab School done something extremely stupid. I understand the lesson she was attempting to convey, because she comes from THAT generation, but her execution was sloppy. I do not condemn her for teaching students the truth about the world. I don't condemn her for teaching students that hatred is real and still exists. But I do condemn the fear-mongering tactics used to do so.

"White people will hurt you" is not the correct ideology to teach. I'm not saying she said these things. But what I am saying is that if that was her approach, it was wrong.

"Some people will despise and even try to harm you based solely on your appearance or beliefs" is a more appropriate approach.

I am actually feeling much better about this dialogue. I realize what it must be like to be trying to "stand above" such things as BET and the tactics of some of those grambling teachers - to try to be better and to feel that when people like the Jena thugs.. and that is what they were..(btw - this was not their second chance, but much of their past behaviors were covered by law).. or the BET programmers. I am beginning to believe that you are a singular, thinking black person who is working hard like the rest of us, trying to excel, but are being lumped by others into the category with those who are not. It must be horribly frustrating. But not all... or not even most of the white people in America are trying to keep you from success! Are we as white women cautious when we are approached by a group of black kids that are dressed or acting in a way that identifies them with such thugs? YES! We would be stupid to ignore the things that we see on the news and in the newspapers that are being perpetrated by others dressed and acting that way. Do we think all black kids are bad or are criminal? NO. I promise you, most of us wish nothing but success and growth for you and others like you. But until strong, morally minded blacks like yourself place your anger in the right place... not toward whites who are fearful and self protective.. but toward the badly behaving blacks who are sending out waves of fear and mistrust through violence, criminal behavior and irresponsible living, while blaming it on slavery that existed 100 years ago.. we won't see positive change. You are headed in the right direction. I say we will never be exactly the same. We could someday become equal. And that is much better. I wish you well.

Please, tell me where I've blamed whitey for MY situation. QUOTE that for me.

But first, allow me to put my situation into perspective for you:

-I have no criminal record.
-I graduated high school.
-I'm a veteran.
-I'm currently in college at Grambling State University pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.-I mantain a 3.8 GPA in my major and a 3.4 GPA overall
-I work with at-risk youth.
-I'm working on getting into law school.
-I'm waiting on that phone call from the LPSO for an interview date.
-I come from a home with both parents still living in it.
-I'm a proud former Winnfield Tiger football player
- my parents haven't had to contribute a single dime to my college education.

I could go on. MY situation isn't bad. I come from a good family with strong family values. I come from a family who's basic principals are that of strength and honor. Strength in body, mind and spirit. I was taught never to rescind my beliefs, never to contradict who I am and always uphold and maintain all that is just and fair. I don't owe anyone anything, nor do I expect anything from anyone. Does that mean I'm going to turn a blind eye to injustice simply because "it doesn't effect me"? No. Why? Because I care about more than just myself.

That's why I point out the fallacies in society.
That's why every time you and I lock horns in a battle of wits, it always ends with you saying something ignorant and me just walking away.

You simply don't possess the mental capacity to compete with me or the likes of me.

Not that I care, but I know the reason you don't like me. It's because I'm not like you.

I'm not some self-righteous, ignorant prick who would resort to petty insults the moment they can't mount a decent rebuttal in a debate. I'm not some xenophobic, mal-educated, cave-dwelling, bone-chewing troglodyte.

And I thank GOD for that. Every day, I wake up glad to not be YOU.
