1 It may seem trivial,BUT IT IS ANOTHER PROMISE BROKEN BY THE MAN WHO IS IN LINE FOR GOD"S THRONE! As long as I have known him, I never thought he would EVER change from being good ole Bodie to "watch your backside and bring the Vaseline" Bodie!We have..what..three more years of his reign? Get ready people. He has proven he is NOT a man of the people, he is in it for HIMSELF! You dorks who elected him, I hope you enjoy what you get. And don't bring up that he is 'cleaning up Winn Parish' with his piddling little drug busts. I could see putting the pics in the paper if these guys were bank robbers or murderers, but for the most part, they were just two bit losers who sold a couple of pills. Sure it is against the law, but these people have NOT been convicted yet, and even if found innocent, the stigma will follow them forever. Bodie will not make a second term. What a disappointment he has turned out to be! |

1 Second, Jamey(spelled correctly) may be a cheat or mean or rude, but he is a damn good cop. He did more than 99% of the people there. He loved his job and was damn good at it. You are just petty people who have nothing better to do. |

1 and maybe the reason that damn good cop is not there any more is because he was trying to run the show 99% of the time. but he got his wings clipped, maybe he should move to new orleans and go to work |

1 I agree, you are correct, but you left out one important statement. EVERYONE should live right, do right, and set an example. Not just cops. Not just teachers. Not just preachers. But welders, athletes, barbers, beauticians. EVERYONE. The trouble is, we are quick to throw rocks while living in a glass house. We are quick to judge all but ourselves. I am guilty, so are you. |

1 You do realize if you cleaned everyone out everyone at the Sheriff's Office who ever cheated there would only be a couple left. I know plenty of people who make a mess of their personal life but are still very good at performing his/her job. JM was a good law enforcement officer. |
||||
I am not saying he wasn't a good cop, hell he may be another John McClain or even Kojak. The point that was trying to be made is that an officer of the law should have no aspect of their life that can be viewed as corrupted. That opens the door for speculation into other avenues of corruption, reasonable suspicion so to speak. Once the integrity of an officer is in question, I feel he is less of an officer. Much like the one to whom this forum is referenced. What would he do responding to the scene of a husband that has just beat the crap out of someone that he discovered in the bed with his wife? Which side would he be on? Which side is he supposed to be on? Would he really be qualified anymore to make that determination? |

1 I totally feel that EVERYONE is quick to judge all but ourselves. I personally know a welder who beats his girlfriend, is a drug abuser & alcoholic, but he's a good welder. My hairdresser is not faithful to her husband, but she is a very good hairdresser. My doctor has been married several times & has a "less than perfect" personal image. Jamey has alot of law enforcement experience & very professional at his job. When we have the Chief of Police being indicted, a Parish jailer arrested for malfeasance in office, & a very corrupt Sheriff. I think we should focus on how well they perform at their JOBS--not their PERSONAL lives. I just heard today that Paul Alsup's is retiring. What is going to happen to law enforcement in our Parish, or the City of Winnfield?? Does anyone care about this...or just who's sleeping with who? We need to look at the whole picture & what impact these changes are going to have on our communities as a whole. Who JM is dating or how many times he has been married has no impact on whether he can perform his professional responsibilities. I personally feel safer with an officer on duty that has 20+ years experience than have brand new officers that refer to law books or call someone to ask what they should do. Are they gonna call someone to see how to respond when your house is being broken into, or you're being attacked?? Our law enforcement is going down the drain & all we are doing is talking about who's sleeping with who? We need to be concerned about professional ethics not just personal ethics! |
