I became aware today that the Winn Parish School Board will be voting Monday to not renew the Principal at Atlanta High Schools contract for the next year. I think it is pretty sorry for them to place this item on the agenda the same week as the Atlanta Boys will be playing for a spot in the State Playoffs and just weeks before testing is to begin. The principal is the one that caught the money being stolen while everyone at the school board didn't do their job in monitoring the accounts closer. So now they are going to let the principal take the fall for this one. I didn't think our superintendant would have taken the low road but apparently he has. If the principal loses her job, I think all those responsible for overseeing those accounts should not be resigned to their contracts including Mr. Bartlett.

Contact your school board member and tell them if they are going to fire people they need to clean house all the way to the top. I believe I remember this happening at the school board not to many years ago. It will be a shame for Winn Parish to lose a good educator just because BR has an agenda for closing Atlanta High School.
