I think the first thing we need to do is to eliminate as much "pork" as possible from all projects statewide. After that, efficiency in government(HA!HA!).Seriously, at some point we will all need to demand less from our state and local governments and deal with reality. EVERYTHING COSTS MONEY!

The article quotes Mayors Ditsler and Brainard. Why is it that the leaders of the biggest consumers of our taxes, schools, are seldum if ever interviewed or heard from?
