Greenbelt safety

We're moving to Boise. I was really looking forward to spending lots of time on the greenbelt. Then I read about some crimes that have occured there. Is this a big problem?

Yeah, it's huge. There are gangs and rapists everywhere. Even some reports of small ogres emerging from Boise River to drag unsuspecting rollerbladers into the depths of the icy, polluted water. It's awful, just awful.

Nah, just kiddin. I run or bike or walk on the greenbelt every day (and have been for years). I know every inch of it and I've never had a problem. Couple Garden City spots don't really appeal to me for after-dark runs, but more precautionary than anything else.

I hate those small ogres. We had those when I lived in Boulder. Nasty little suckers. They seem to be less active in hot weather so maybe they won't bother me when I visit in August.

wow todd u are a really cool fella! i am quite amazed at your knowledge of the "ogres" in the greenbelt area... that is a knowledge you can take right to the bank!!!!
