Toll from China quake estimated at 3,000 to 5,000

A massive earthquake struck central China on Monday and state media reported that as many as 5,000 people were killed in a single county while nearly 900 students were trapped under the rubble of their school.

It bothered me when the earthquake hit here. I would never want to be in one. It is a very scary thing to read about what this earthquake did to this town. It really has allot of power and there is nothing you can do. It is such a helpless feeling to have to just let something happen. I hope we never have one here like that.

It's up to 10,000 casulities. It is just more proof that the bible is fulfilling itself. I think it was so horrible I haven't read all the story on it but I did see where 900 students were trapped. I wouldn't want to be in something like that either. It's horrible.

my whole life i've heard about the 'big one' that's supposed to hit here...i'm just hoping it doesn't and praying for anyone that does get hit. my goodness, that's a lot of people. it almost doesn't seem real, does it?

Not sure if you all are following this on the news but now they are saying estimated at 50,000
