in regards to paper or plastic. The green bags are a great idea in theory but when you have a family of five plus animals, those bags are so small I can fit one item in it at a time. There is no way that is cost efficient or time efficient for a big family.

Boy you ARE cranky. That bag is big enough for one item, it's true, as long as the item is a 22 pound turkey or some other oversized item. But those plastic bags can only hold one of those large items, too, so please try to make sense out of your argument.
Let the Al Gore bashing begin!

I have recently moved from Akron to Europe. Almost everyone uses the "green" bags here. They are very sturdy, and actually larger than the normal plastic bag in the states. I think they cost about 0.75 euro for one bag. Just as a funny side note... the grocery store we do most of our shopping at will still give you the plastic bags if you want them, but they say in the native tong, "I am a dumbass who doesn't care about the environment".

You know people voted for the candidate they could most likely see themselves drinking a beer with and we got George W. Bush. Not one of the candidates on either side best represents the poor and the middle class. We have no representation anymore. The best choiuce for this country is a Gandhi type revolution. Don't pay credit cards, walk away from your mortgage and drop all your insurances. Hit them where it hurts and teach them a lesson. It is better to revolt this way and teach them than to battle with weapons. If we don;t have a Gandhi type of revolution first, you will surely see the other coming soon. Give peace a chance. Teach them.

How about this? Go to Jo-Anne Fabric, or something like that, buy some fabric with your tax rebate, and sew yourself a bunch of these bags yourself, and to your order?

The letter about the tuition--it is noted that Akron U at once time had cheaper tuition for Akron REDIDENTS--this proposal is only for public schools students--and generally all residents pay taxes--why should those not in the APS--but yet residents--be discrimanated against. In fact those not going to the APS have generally saved the taxpayers a huge amount of money.
