The above homeless camp is totally illegal regardless of who owns the property it is on.
These bums are defecating, urinating, disposing of garbage directly on the ground, which then washes into the rivers and streams in and around athens, with no
proper sanitary facilities. They nave no running water or sewer or electricity as is required for all proper living units in Athens Clarke County. All health codes are being violated but neither the Athens Clarke County government nor the State Department of public health will lift a finger to place every one of these outlaws living there in jail. If you ask the director of the local department of public health with her soft job just off Milledge, she passes the buck to the local Athens Government, while both look the other way this health disaster waiting to happen.
Observe no pictures of the filth and dirty living condidtions at this illegal homeless camp. Observe no investigation by Joe Johnson or any other so called journalist at the Athens Banner Herald into why this totally illegal activity, risking the health of every other one of the law abiding citizens of Athens Clarke County, is not shut down immediately or has not been shut down years ago.
No interviews of Athens Mayor Nancy Denson or Police Chief Jack Lumpkin or any of the Athens Clarke County Commissioners or the high paid County Attorney Berryman or the local good for nothing and corrupt district attorney, or the head of the Georgia Department of Public Health or any one else. The Athens Banner Herald has plenty of time to write these articles but no time to answer the question why this illegal camp is not shut down.
It is exactly this type of filthy unsanitary living conditions which leads to horrible diseases as are found in third world countires like Haiti or Mexico or numerous others. Supposedly we have health code laws to prevent this obscenity, but our corrupt government officials sit around and attend cocktail parties while doing nothing about any of this failure to enforce the law they were sworn to enforce. Everyone involved should be sitting in a jail cell except Georgia is the most corrupt State on the planet; need more proof?
The Georgia Attorney General and the GBI should arrest every member of the Athens Clarke County government and the State Department of Public Health and place them in jail pronto and then shut down this illegal, unsafe, filthy squatters camp which is in patent violation of numerous health and housing codes, as well as of Athens Clarke County, as well as environmental laws of State and Federal government, which are corruptly and illegally not being enforced likely due to political correctness.
Begin by jailing Police Chief Lumpkin and Mayor Denson and Attorney Berryman for failure to perform their sworn duties.
And stop buying and reading the disgusting, corrupt piece of journalist garbage the Athens Banner Herald which has remained silent on all this illegal government corruption in the sewer of Georgia Athens Clarke County. This worthless newspaper is obviously in bed with all branches of government here and deserves to be shut down. Athens would be much better without this piece of journalist garbage. Also, observe the deafening silence from that worthless organization which receives tax money from Athens Clarke County, the Athens Chamber of Commerce and its high paid CEO with his soft job. All of them look the other way to this corruption.

Observe the Athens Banner Herald has plenty of resources to report results of football games both on the front page and the Sports Pages at virtually all games, but no resources to investigate public health dangers to all citizens here from an illegal homeless camp which is not shut down in patent violation of numerous laws of Athens, Georgia and the Federal government. It is difficult to describe this obscenity of local and state government without using profanity and expletives. Shameful Athens and Georgia is far too polite a descriptive adjective.
Anyone thinking of moving here, don't do it unless you want to risk your health to local government negligence and intransigence and corruption.

Let's spread them out to live in alleys. Hey, I have a better idea. Let's put them in a legal homeless camp in your neighborhood.
