"With so much havoc caused by a storm that brought only 2-3 inches of snow to most of the Atlanta metro, Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed are facing withering scrutiny over their handling of the storm and will likely continue facing it in the coming days.
On The Today Show, Al Roker said the traffic nightmare in Atlanta was caused by "poor planning on the mayor and governor's part." Dalton Mayor David Pennington, who's running against Deal for the Republican gubernatorial nomination, said, "Government's primary role is to protect the people; Nathan Deal has failed miserably once again."
Deal accepted responsibility for his actions: "I'm willing to accept whatever blame comes my way," he said. "And if I'm responsible for it, I'll accept that.""

Sure you will, Goober Deal. Iyt would be a first.

The only negative comment I have against Gov. Deal is he gave our tax money to help finance the Falcon's new stadium. The Falcons should be paying for this not the taxpayers of Georgia. BTW, I understand Turner Field is now available since the Braves are leaving the new Detroit.

It's worse than just having tax money to go for the building. It will end up just like the Georgia Dome. They gave Coca-Cola the right to put a cornerstone in the Dome and it didn't stop there. They gave Coca-Cola EXCLUSIVE right to the Georgia Dome soft drink market. Pizza Hut which sold Pepsi could sell pizza in the Dome but could not sell Pepsi. You had to go to another line and buy a soft drink sold by Coca-Cola company. That included all such drinks, bottled water, etc. They would practically search everybody going into the dome and people thought it was for security but it was mainly looking for food, candy and drinks.
The current dome is one huge rip-off and so will the new one be a rip-off. You pay big bucks to get in and then they show commercials on the giant screen.

Dang! You and I actually agree on this. Good post! The only problem I see that people not going in to work might have had is their bosses might have not agreed with their decision. Don't know what the repercussions might have been in regard to their job.

Breaking news, er, broke news:
"Ga. governor takes blame for storm preparations"
“We did not make preparations early enough,” Deal said at a news conference.“I’m not going to look for a scapegoat. I am the governor. The buck stops with me.”"

Weak, really weak. Look at a Google search and it's plastered all over the country as "Ga. governor takes blame for storm preparations"

It's time for this Goober Deal to go.

The GDOT should have been at the ready, duh. That's what being on standby and ready means. The whole thing was a goof by the City of Atlanta and the Sate of Georgia. They actually did better than this in the year 2000 when the ice storm hit during Super Bowl XXXIV.

Who was Governor of Georgia at that time? Georgia Governor Roy Barnes. Voters in Georgia best wise up before we have a serious issue for the Goober Deal to DEAL with.

The REAL problem YOU are having is that Deal is a Republican. If Deal was a Democrat, you would be singing his praises. You made that clear when you praised loser Barnes. Whine on.

If Deal was a Democrat? Democrats have a bit more class than having Deal to represent them. I'm not going back to point to it as proof but I actually opposed Barnes as being governor the last time that he ran. Barnes knows why and he was told so at the time. All Barnes had to do was to step up and he failed. It appears that his running was all a show. Neither he nor Deal was on my list.

People change. Barnes changed. Zell Miller changed. Deal cannot change because his one goal is to regain the fortunes that his family lost in their business. He's bound to get a fortune back and his governorship is his ticket. His win, our loss.

Deal is a bigger laughing-stock embarrassment for Georgia than any governor before him.

Goober Deal - no deal.

You are delusional. If it weren't for low class, Democrats wouldn't have any class at all. The fact that you even considered Barnes proves THAT.

Unfortunately for the people of Georgia the "Goober in the News" today is Goober Deal and not Barnes. It is Goober Deal that the world is looking at on this goof.
Goober Deal has company in Goober Bentley over in Alabama and yes Goober Bentley also is the offspring of your GOP. Born of the same GOP litter as Goober Bush.
Majority workers in Alabama, like Georgia, also vote against their own interests by voting Republican.

Really, why is it then that the, in the liberal buzzwords of, "income and wealth inequality", has grown under nobama and his misadministration?

Are you saying that the GOP garners votes by using and manipulating certain workers of the worker class who hold certain traits to stay in power in the South? Are you also saying that these workers don't even realize or don't care that they are being used by the GOP?

That's a loose question? One that would reap as many answers as the number of people answering multiplied by at least 3.7. In other words, to help you with the math, ask 10 people and you MIGHT get 37 answers because it is a loose or broad question.

Close the gap in your questions. BTW, PRESIDENT Obama has no "misadministration" as that bad stuff happening is still powered by Bush but give it another 20 years and we may get over the Bush years.
