Pennington is great on paper New but he's not the right one. He can't raise money or get serious big time business into the state. If he is nominated it would give peanut boy a ever so slight chance of winning because unlike Deal he would be starting from zero $ have no state legislature alliances. Forget Barge he should run as a turncoat aka a Dem for wanting to protect fraud not academic importance with his desire for monopoloy on state ed.

The legislature really runs the show with supermajority since Deal election and GOP money raised exceptionally well the way Deal has fundraised enough to stop the hollywood liberals and the Jane Fondas that are donating to people like Michelle Nunn from flipping or should i say pulling a fluke in Ga in 2014 because they have theyre fingers crossed somehow a candidate will headline our ballot that doesnt got the states big guns to fight off the liberals. otherwise no chance. carter is getting 20% in Bartow which means all of Black Ga has to go vote for the deer in headlights white boy more than for Obama. Good luck with that.

Deal and his family went broke running a sporting goods store.

First thing he did when becoming Goober of Georgia was to pull the teeth of the Georgia State Ethics Commission and the GOP legislature has backed him up on that one. Why did he immobilize it and why does the GOP back him up? Why, why, why...

Then he puts politics right in the middle of the Georgia Lottery Corp. Why? That was NOT supposed to be when the GLC was setup.

When he does leave our Goober's Mansion I'm betting that he and his family will become really rich.

I suspect the ethics charges against Deal are being pushed by the Obama Justice Department. Eric Holder goes after conservatives regularly. Nothing will ever become of those "charges." Just look at what they are doing to NJ's Christie over a "bridge" traffic jam. Look how they are going after the ex-Gov. who accepted gifts.

Look how the DOJ gives the Benghazi criminals a free pass, regardless of derelection of duty. Fast and Furious is another example. Who the DOJ goes after is determined by which party one claims.

Deal's family is not broke.

Deal will be reelected and Georgia will prosper. The people who dislike Deal should stop and ask themselves if they really want a Jason Carter in the Governor's Office. Pennington will never make it. Barge is wasting his time as is the others.

Try laying your personal animosity aside and think of the future of our state. Also the proper term is Governor's Mansion, not Goober's Mansion. This isn't Mayberry, RFD.

We should be so lucky if it was Mayberry. As long as Deal in there then it is Goober.
Puleaze, blaming PRESIDENT Obama for Goober Deal's ethics?
Our Georgia state employees are now face with Deal HMO insurance changes that may cost them as much as $10,000 per year out of their own pockets per family.

According to Deal, state workers are greedy while JP Morgan raises CEO Jamie Dimon's pay 74%, to $20 million.

Goober Deal says "I don't think there should be any political blame at all," while pointing a finger at his own appointees on the Community Health Board who voted to discontinue the HMO. Then he also points a finger at PRESIDENT Obama with "Admittedly, the cost of healthcare is rising, admittedly with the reforms of the Affordable Care Act."

So who is at fault according to Goober Deal? According to him, anybody but Deal is at fault.

That's who we need for governor, anybody but Deal.

Yep, I'm a Redneck for President Obama.

BCBS needs to be ran out of the state. Deal nows says that state employees will have a wider choice of insurers but still it comes up lacking because BCBS had no competition and has set the standard.

"The new co-pays for SHBP (state) members will include $20 for generic drugs,$50 for most brand-name prescriptions and $80 for specialty medications.
Primary care doctor visits will have a $35 co-pay, while specialist care will be $45."

Say what? State employees need to hit the streets protesting.

I am NOT a state employee so my own co-pay for generic drugs is from $0 to $4. My primary care doctor visit co-pay is $18. My Yearly OOP deductible is $275 per family member. Oh and I can choose my own doctor rather than a HMO provided one.

Georgia, fail on insurance.
Deal, fail as governor.

I guess you got that from the Monday article,'State moves swiftly to adjust employee plan'.

What really put me rolling on the floor laughing was what Goober Deal said when this change was announced Monday,“We heard our state employees and teachers and we listened”-Deal.

Really?

Breaking News:
Goober 'Deal declares ‘State of Emergency’ for Georgia'
"The winter storm that paralyzed metro Atlanta and other parts of Georgia prompted Gov. Nathan Deal to declare a state of emergency Tuesday afternoon for all 159 counties."

Next he goes to Bad Olebummer and asks for some federal funds. Republican Goobers do that while trying to keep it low key.

and the response from FEMA, "we will be monitoring the situation."
asked what resources could be brought to the table, the spokesperson said "many", but when pressed on the subject, was not able to specify what, how, when, or where..........Obamanese for "we dont have a clue, but we talk a good line."

they're still dealing with the fallout and failure from the "Sandy" storm........

Breaking news:
'Governor (DEAL) blames weather service for Atlanta's gridlock'
ATLANTA -- Gov. Nathan Deal, who mobilized the National Guard Wednesday to rescue motorists stranded on ice-bound freeways and to offer them food water and shelter, blamed the National Weather Service predicting that the storm would hit farther south."

Who to blame? Anybody but Deal.
You cannot make this stuff up. Deal declares all 159 counties as a emergency disaster but then blames Atlanta on the NWS. So, Deal, what about the "farther south" areas that ALSO gridlocked? Never mind as I'm sure that you have someone lined up to blame for that as well.

GDOT is part of your governing responsibility, Deal.
GDOT - Fail.

I don't see how Goober Deal can blame anyone else for his and GDOT failures. I watched it come in this area which is Northwest of Atlanta and I saw it coming. Stayed home.
As I watched on TV the most common thing that I expected to see was missing. That would be GDOT trucks moving about.

The TV forecasters hammered away that this storm was coming, yet what did everyone in metro Atlanta do? They got in their cars and SUVs and flooded into Atlanta. Then when the snow came and everyone left work and gridlocked the roads, the GDOT couldn't get anywhere. Quit your whining and moaning and man up.
