Train hits truck in Statham

June 3, 2011 12:25 p.m. A CSX train collided with an 18-wheeler truck late this morning in Statham.

that was my cousin's truck. he was crossing the train tracks and the truck got stuck on the tracks. he contacted the police and they called for dump trucks to come and try to push the truck off the tracks. the mayor even tried contacting the train station to tell them to stop all trains coming that way. not long after that a train came, hit the truck and it dragged the truck .25 of a mile down the tracks. it was tragic. nobody was hurt but my cousin had to watch as a train hit 2 of his antique cars.

My dad had tractor trailer stalled on track filled with shrimp, train just pushed it off and turned it over. He got nothing.
