Replace local corrupt police with elected Sheriff

“The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that a spokesman for the Missouri Highway Patrol said the reason for the police intervention was the potential for a traffic hazard.
Funny, isn’t it, that American Citizens exercising their fundamental right of free speech, are being illegally arrested for holding signs on freeway overpasses, advocating impeachment of the illegal president Obama, but right here in Athens, beggars illegally beg for money by standing illegally at the side or in the roadways and illegally entering the roadways, to be given money, dangerously risking causing an accident and possibly being even injured or killed, while the corrupt local police department does nothing about it all. The taxpayers here will be forced to pay the costs when one of these beggars is injured or killed because the local corrupt Police Chief failed to do his sworn duty.
Political correctness in law enforcement is a terrible thing to observe. How about speaking up on this local police corruption you gutless ten commissioners and how you secretly directed the local police chief not to enforce the law on beggars so you won’t look bad to the public. This is exactly why local jurisdictions like Athens must not be permitted to have a police department where the chief reports to the political hacks running the government. The local elected Sheriff should be restored to Athens again. The State of Georgia should force Athens Clarke County to abandon its corrupt police department and restore those duties to the elected Sheriff again. But you can be sure they will not do so.
The state of Georgia is one of the most corrupt states in the Union.

The real abomination here is the dismal failure of that worthless piece of so called journalistic garbage called a newspaper to investigate this fundamental issue of public safety and show pictures of these beggars running directly into the roadway while traffic is moving when some car stops with a hand out of money to them.
Many of them stand on entrances to the by pass almost right in front of signs prohibiting pedestrians exactly where they are standing. Perhaps our police chief needs some time in a jail cell himself, along with our corrupt local government too.
But you can be virtually 100 % certain that even if the most distinguished professor of journalism at UGA did all the work for them, this worthless excuse of a newspaper would not publish the article. I am not even sure Flagpole would either. The good citizens of Athens are used to be kept in ignorance by their propaganda worthless newspapers here.
