"Science, physics, astronomy are all a load of bull."
And there you have it folks. The stubborn and pinched mind set that is dragging our country backwards in time and efforts. It's this poor excuse for understanding that makes it both relevant and extremely important that folks who subscribe to this kind of nonsense and their supporters do not gain access to influential positions in government that enables them to affect policies that are a not only a direct hindrence but also a direct threat to progress and growth in an ever changing and complex society. I think that it is quite fine for those who, like the above poster, wish to live in ignorance and defiance of reality, but they have no business infecting the broader society with that nonsense.
And speaking of taking things out of context, you are conveniently ignoring the post by "not a religous (sic) nutcase" that this was in response to, where he/she specifically stated:

"That happened 13 billion years ago HOW DO YOU KNOW? WERE YOU THERE? WAS ANYONE TAKING NOTES?"

"prove it" responded with:
"Science, physics, astronomy are all a load of bull. If you didn't see it means it didn't happen or doesn't exist?? How does your mind actually work and why??"

A perfectly valid response, unless you leave out the last two sentences like you did.
Were you deliberately trying to twist the meaning or was it a comprehension problem again?

You can be amused? No one would "want to discredit Christianity" anymore than any other religion. BUT, BUT, BUT everyone has just as much right to discussion of it as you, any church, any clergyman, and scholar. There are no rules restricting that right. Get over it. So go ahead, you can cover your ears while hollering, "Nah, nah, nah, nah ..I can't hear you. Nah, nah, nah." LOL.
One cannot quote the bible out of context. Each single part, as the whole, is literal. There are parts of the Bible that are never read in any Church, Bible study group, or Sunday School class. Why? Because those parts are an embarrassment to the Bible-believer. They too just cannot accept those parts so they they never read or mention them. Their explanation usually runs like "Some things Godly are best left to God".
2 Peter 1:20 "no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."
You aren't interested in discussion, your posts suggest a mind that is too closed, locked and sealed to be interested in an actual discussion. "One cannot quote the bible (sic) out of context." Now there is rank stupidity on display - ANY piece of writing or speech can be taken out of context - context is everything.

And how would you know what is or is not discussed in "any Church, Bible study group, or Sunday School class" - you've attended THEM ALL? There are entire books written on the "difficult passages of the Bible", I've been in services, classes and studies where they have been discussed. Your claim to omniscience is quite ironic considering the topic.

It's according to which "rose collored" glasses one looks through dummy..........and use quotes marks...or otherwise someone might think your smart, instead of a dummy..........

“How has poverty changed over time?
In the late 1950s, the poverty rate for all Americans was 22.4 percent, or 39.5 million individuals. These numbers declined steadily throughout the 1960s, reaching a low of 11.1 percent, or 22.9 million individuals, in 1973. Over the next decade, the poverty rate fluctuated between 11.1 and 12.6 percent, but it began to rise steadily again in 1980. By 1983, the number of poor individuals had risen to 35.3 million individuals, or 15.2 percent.
For the next ten years, the poverty rate remained above 12.8 percent, increasing to 15.1 percent, or 39.3 million individuals, by 1993. The rate declined for the remainder of the decade, to 11.3 percent by 2000. From 2000 to 2004 it rose each year to 12.7 in 2004.
Since the late 1960s, the poverty rate for people over 65 has fallen dramatically. The poverty rate for children has historically been somewhat higher than the overall poverty rate. The poverty rate for people in households headed by single women is significantly higher than the overall poverty rate.
How does poverty differ across subgroups?
The poverty rate for all persons masks considerable variation between racial/ethnic subgroups. Poverty rates for blacks and Hispanics greatly exceed the national average. In 2010, 27.4 percent of blacks and 26.6 percent of Hispanics were poor, compared to 9.9 percent of non-Hispanic whites and 12.1 percent of Asians.
Poverty rates are highest for families headed by single women, particularly if they are black or Hispanic. In 2010, 31.6 percent of households headed by single women were poor, while 15.8 percent of households headed by single men and 6.2 percent of married-couple households lived in poverty.
There are also differences between native-born and foreign-born residents. In 2010, 19.9 percent of foreign-born residents lived in poverty, compared to 14.4 percent of residents born in the United States. Foreign-born, non-citizens had an even higher incidence of poverty, at a rate of 26.7 percent.”

http://www.npc.umich.edu/poverty/

“The poverty rate has stood at 15 percent for three consecutive years, the first time that has happened since the mid-1960s. The poverty rate in 1965 was 17.3 percent; it was 12.5 percent in 2007, before the Great Recession.
About 50 million Americans live below the poverty line, which the federal government defined in 2012 as an annual income of $23,492 for a family of four.”

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/jan/...

And as Obama lies……….
“Gene Sperling, the president’s top economic adviser, said Mr. Obama has pulled as many as 9 million people out of poverty with policies such as extending the earned income tax credit for parents with three or more children and reducing the “marriage penalty.””

This chart shows the lie…………..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Number_in_P...

Also shows Obama as the worst president ever!!!!!!!!!!

“Poverty level under Obama breaks 50-year record”

Highest since Johnson created welfare…….

When red lines mean nothing and you talk out of both sides of your mouth, world leaders pay attention and then ignore you..........

such is the fate of Obama and Kerry's sorry foreign policy in the middle east..........with some kind of "time line" now in place..........
A time line is a red line that moves also..........and no one can find it..........

"US Secretary of State John Kerry, who has invested more than a year of intensive shuttle diplomacy, said there were "limits" to the time Washington could devote to the process.

"This is not open-ended," Kerry said in Morocco, adding that it was "reality check" time and he would evaluate with President Barack Obama Washington's next move.

"There are limits to the amount of time and effort that the United States can spend if the parties themselves are unwilling to take constructive steps."

Kerry spoke to both Israeli and Palestinian leaders on Thursday in a desperate bid to bring the two sides back from the brink.

But Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas rejected his appeals to withdraw the applications he signed on Tuesday to adhere to 15 international treaties, a Palestinian official told AFP.

And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ignored appeals to refrain from "unhelpful" tit-for-tat moves and asked officials to draw up a range of tough reprisals, Israeli media reported."

Looks like the Senate race is getting a little nasty on the repub side..........

" “Look at the backgrounds. Look at the credentials. There’s a high school graduate in this race, okay? I’m sorry.”

You may think that after this event perhaps Mr. Perdue felt bad about what he said, but in contrast his campaign released a statement stating,“David was simply making the case that he is the most qualified person in this race to help get our economy back on track so that we can start paying down the massive federal debt. His comment was based on facts that are a matter of public record.”"

One has to wonder why Perdue picked on Handel..........as she is nowhere close to the top 2 in the running.....who are Perdue and Kingston the rino insurance man in congress..........

I don't believe the majority of Republicans have a clue when it comes to how a democracy is supposed to work. The Republican Party just won a Supreme Court decision allowing one person to buy a President, a congressman, a mayor or a law. ONE billionaire can now spend any amount of money they want. This is the second Supreme Court decision, the 1st allowing unlimited donations by one person to some PAC's, as long as the candidate was not involved, yea sure. Do you have any idea what this is going to allow to happen??? Today candidates are elected by the power of advertising. Now one man with enough money can and will at some point control government. And its all backed and pushed by the Republican Party.

This is a game changer, and the game is that the 1% have won. We get information from TV, radio and newspapers, and money can now buy and put out the information they want. Conservatives get a little gay/Hispanic/abortion legislation passed in the south and legislators who will agree to make your religion the religion of the land. That makes them happy, so they vote Republican, like sheep to the slaughter. That was OK with me, but now FACT is your clueless actions are going to make us all sheep, thanks!!

Incompetent gubmint at work..........

"By the time the jets intercepted and visually identified the aircraft, it was leaving the restricted flight area and resumed communication with controllers, NORAD said.

"The aircraft was already on its way out of restricted airspce when our jets got up there," said Capt. Jennifer Stadnyk of NORAD's public affairs division."

Interesting coming from a liberal Supreme Court. I guess it's trying to make up for that healthcare law it saddled us with.
Personally, I DON'T agree with either decision, but the Supreme Court rules, so I guess we have to live with it. Now! YOU can live with some frustration. Not fun, huh?

Chickenbutt,(I KNOW you are on here.) you'll LOVE this article because it's from The Daily Beast. When a liberal outlet publishes an article about the corrupt mainstream media and how it protects democrats, THAT'S news!!!!!! What you liberals fail to understand is that when the media "covers" for ANY party, it's trouble for US. This is an EXCELLENT article. You liberals on topix pound your chests and are so smug, but as I've posted before: When a conservative wins, it's a REAL win because the win occurs IN SPITE of the left wing media. The left gets their wins HANDED to them. You can deny it 'til the cows come home, but you KNOW it's true.

How did Bush ever get to be pretzlenit and finish all eight years. It's a good thing he spent most of it on vacation.

Just finishing this one up and found these loose ends in the hamper:

16. Abandoned international Criminal Court. Before invading Iraq, Bush told the U.N. that the U.S. was withdrawing from ratifying the International Criminal Court Treaty to protect American troops from persecution and to allow it to pursue preemptive war.

17. Colin Powell’s false evidence at U.N. The highly decorated soldier turned Secretary of State presented false evidence at the U.N. as the American mainstream media began its jingoistic drumbeat to launch a war of choice on Saddam Hussein and Iraq.

18. He launched a war on CIA whistleblowers. When a former ambassador, Joseph C. Wilson, wrote a New York Times op-ed saying there was no nuclear threat from Iraq, the White House retaliated by leaking the name and destroying the career of his wife, Valerie Plame, one of the CIA’s top national security experts.
