Do you really expect any opposition party to just lay down and do whatever the President says? Partisanship exists for a reason, and the partisanship we have now was elected by the people for a reason(s). Where is the hatred displayed by the Republicans for Obama? For his agenda, maybe so, and it's their right to feel that way. Where is the evilness and un-American behavior? The struggles we are enduring now as a nation, were not created by any one specific individual or political party, and the struggles to solve them, is as American as it gets.
The mind set of a tea bagger, its NOT about the opposition. Its not a war, its government which is now and has always been based on compromise for the good of ALL. I agree with an awful lot of what you say in this post, but this has gotten way past politics. It is obvious hate on a level NEVER seen before in politics. Its a group hell bent on their way or no way. That's NOT the American way, our way is majority rule. The minority in any issue is not supposed to do what tea baggers have done, its just not morally right. Tea baggers are trying to win an argument that they have already lost. The tactics they are using is making people like me, who once leaned in their direction, now want them to go away, forever. What tea baggers are doing is bad for this country. Try to get things done within the system, without blackmail and threats.

ObamaFootball……….
1st quarter:
Stadium only ¼ full……….
Obama takes his plan of the ACA to demo congressional leaders who control both houses of Congress.
Hunchback Reid pushes it through the Senate, botox Nancy does a dance unknown in the house, and slips it through the house declaring it passed in both houses through chicanery under the guise of affirmation of faith without a reading of the bill……
Score; libroids 7, conservatives 0.
Obama and libroids do a funky jerky dance and fall all over each other…….looks like an orgy….

2nd quarter:
Goes to the Supremes. Chief Justice does a turnaround(without explanation), and says it is a tax law. Conservatives scream only the House can approve tax increases…
Now the law of the land……
2 points for a safety….
Score; libroids 9, conservatives 0…….

Halftime……..
Libroids on the sidelines do their versions of cheerleading with pom-poms……Big band of labroid on the field playing rap music, while botox Nancy and humpback Reid escort Obama to the podium……..
Obama gives his usual upbeat sermon, we have reached my Legacy, saying “I gladly accept the legislation is known as Obamacare, it will be my legacy, in my name.” while thinking, I showed them Podunk politicians, snookered them good……

3 rd quarter;
Kickoff to conservatives….
Conservatives have a good run back as obamacare rollout falters, crashes, and only allow 4 folks to sign up……
Conservatives the ObamaBall up the middle, find a soft underbelly in the libroids and get 40 yards…….
Insurance companies cancels policies, conservatives get the ball to the 10 yard line of the libroids….
Libroid defense starts to crumble, Stadium has filled up with folks who have a vested interest in this game….some labroid defensemen now have decided to succumb to conservative thinking (as they see an opportunity to keep from getting cut from team priviledges.)

Obama no longer uses the term obamacare, instead calling it the ACA…..
Conservatives gain to the 5 yard line………
Libroid defense in a panic, more defections to the conservative side of holding off obamacare…..

Conservatives score!!!!!!!!!!

Score; Libroids 9, conservatives 7……….

4th quarter;;
Conservatives kickoff to the libroids, libroids fumble on their own 30 yard line. Conservatives recover fumble…
Botox Nancy and humpback Reid on sideline throw their pom-poms away…….tears can be seen running down their face as mob of libroids behind the say,“I told you so!”

Stadium now filled with a lot of ticked off fans……….
Conservatives run the ball to the labroid 25…..within distance of a field goal…..
Panic increases on the labroid sideline, coaches scream, Obamab prays to Allah, Nancy gets another botox treatment and Reid sits on the ground looking dumbfounded….

Conservatives fumble on the 20 yard line of the libroids….too much confidence by conservatives….
Libroids run first play, get thrown for a 3 yard loss….
Fans go wild in cheering for the conservatives, libroids panic even further. Some libroids walk off the field and head to the lockers…..leaving only the diehard labroid to finish the game….

Second labroid play is a run off tackle, ball given to Sebelius, she panics and throws the ball away. Conservatives recover the ball on the 25 yard line of the libroids..again within scoring distance to take the lead……

Obama sends in another defensive play, extend the deadline until Nov 15, 2014, after the elections….
The front defensive line crumbles as “libroids running scared of not being on next years team” move aside and allow conservatives to score from 25 yards out, play called a cakewalk by the WSJ…….
Score: libroids 9, conservatives 14….
10 minutes left in the game.
First libroid to commit hari-kari, many expected to follow…..
The libroid was an announcer from MSNBC, jumps out of tower in the stadium….both libroids and conservatives pause, then get together and give each other a high five and say,“glad it was him and not us.”

Game delayed by Obama, who shows signs of disorientation, malnutrition, and confusion as most states refuse to go along with his “fixes”, knowing all too well there will be many more down the road and those labroid states are just plain tired of Obama and his fruitcakes in D.C.

Game to be continued in 2014 with conservatives leading 14-9.

The majority is "ruling", in accordance with the laws of the Constitution and with respect to the various branches of our government. The "their way or no way" attitude extends way beyond the Tea Party faction, who really have no say in such matters. That very attitude was most recently displayed by Reid, putting into effect the very thing he argued so hard against just a few short years ago. Those elected to office are in the position to act on their blackmail tactics, and they are doing just that. Both Republicans and Democrats are guilty of this, and their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Bill, are you still suffering from post-traumatic stress from all of those times I embarrassed you so badly on here?

You should speak to a professional about that. Don't worry about the costs - you can now get insurance for pre-existing conditions,(including your psychological issues) thanks to Obama.

Have you looked around that place?!? It's a classic example of the old propaganda trick of "make up some preposterous crap and throw it out there - somebody is stupid enough to believe it."
Over half the articles are written by Birther-Queen Orly Taitz!
And I repeat, matters of fact are matters of fact. Are you trying to say that video is fraudulent? My point was in response to "one too many"'s laughing at the idea of liberal professors indoctrinating rather than teaching, so I gave one example to make my point they exist. I could fill this forum with others. Are all professors that intellectually warped - no, and I never said they all were. Are many - yep. Couldn't care less about the article, the video was my point.

<quoted text>Sure sounds like word games, it's called a fetus for a reason, and you call it a person for reason. Regardless, what it comes down to is that you want to control what a woman does with her body, wrap it up in personhood all you like, makes no difference.
The is no equivalency between slavery and abortion, there's my comment.
Oh, the word games are played all right and played by the Left. It is why you are so in love with the term "fetus", it is used to avoid the image of the baby helpless in the womb as it is murdered.

And I would say the equivalency is undeniable. You deny the personhood of the baby and thus justify a woman's right to kill the baby. Slave holders denied the equal personhood of slaves - they were savages, they were mentally inferior, they were little better than animals, they were like little children who needed to be directed, etc., etc. Thus could they continue to justify the institution.

Change happens, sounds like democracy in action.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filibuster_in_th...
...In 1917, a rule allowing for the cloture of debate (ending a filibuster) was adopted by the Democratic Senate[5] at the urging of President Woodrow Wilson[6] after a group of 12 anti-war senators managed to kill a bill that would have allowed Wilson to arm merchant vessels in the face of unrestricted German submarine warfare.
...After a series of filibusters in the 1960s over civil rights legislation, the Senate put a "two-track system" into place in the early 1970s under the leadership of Senate Majority Leader Mike Mansfield and Byrd, who was at that time serving as Senate Majority Whip. Before the introduction of tracking, a filibuster would stop the Senate from moving on to any other legislative activity.
...In 1975 the Democratic-controlled Senate[5] revised its cloture rule so that three-fifths of the senators sworn (usually 60 senators) could limit debate, except on votes to change Senate rules, which require two-thirds to invoke cloture.[19][20] The Senate experimented with a rule to remove the need to speak on the floor to filibuster ("talking filibuster"), thus allowing for "virtual filibusters".[21] Another type of filibuster used in the Senate, the post-cloture filibuster (using points of order to consume time, since they are not counted as part of the limited time provided for debate), was eliminated as an effective delay technique by a rule change in 1979.
...Negotiations between the two parties resulted in two packages of amendments to the rules on filibusters being approved by the Senate on January 25, 2013.
...On November 21, 2013, the Senate voted 52-48 (along party lines with the exception of 3 Democrats who voted against it) to eliminate the use of the filibuster against all executive and judicial presidential nominees (other than to the Supreme Court).
And all these are actions taken that further diluted the intent of the founders in differentiating between the functions of the House and the Senate. The House would function by pure majority rule, the Senate was intended to be a more deliberate body and the rules were established accordingly.
You on the Left are always so quick to scream (falsely) about the Right attempting to suppress the vote. Well that is exactly what the Democrat Senate has done, they have completely suppressed the vote of the Republican senators and left the people who elected them with virtually no voice on executive and judicial nominees - which is truly reprehensible since ONLY the Senate has that function.

Abortion is wrong in a lot of situations, but its not my body, it's none of my business. God will take care of them in the end, its NOT YOUR JOB, leave it to God. Abortion may be wrong, but so is murder, suicide and for that matter old fashion tea bagger hate. I don't see you trying to do anything about those problems.
Poof goes the straw man. Never said anyone was forced to be a slave holder, but people were forced to NO LONGER BE slaveholders. Ever heard of the Civil War? And poof, here goes another virtual straw man - who says that all pro-lifers believe in God - there are plenty of pro-life atheists out there. They recognize the arbitrary nature of drawing a line that says "before this point it's a fetus, after this point it's a baby". Of course, with modern technology that line keeps getting pushed back as the viability of premature infants keeping increasing.

Interesting that the only hate I see comes from those opposed to the Tea Party. Your continued used of a juvenile and crude term simply reflects how much stock should be put in any statement of yours.

(CNN)-- New Yorkers have two ways of looking at a problem. You can ask, "What went wrong, and who do we blame?" or you can roll up your sleeves and ask, "What went wrong, and how do we fix it?"

If anyone in America had any question about which question congressional Republicans would ask, we now have an answer: House Republicans engineered a 17-page playbook detailing how to sabotage and repeal the Affordable Care Act so they can score political points. In this lengthy manual, however, Republicans didn't offer a single idea for solutions, for helping constituents enroll in health care or understand their benefits. Rather, the entire handbook is a tactical guide to tearing down the law.

http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/22/opinion/israel-...

Sounds about right, typical no-solution Republican hate and obstructionism.

Second, the "viability of premature infants keeps increasing"- Dr. Aggie, please, just what do you base this on? It is widely accepted by the medical profession that nearly all "premies" are destined for serious, lifelong medical problems.

Tea baggers in the House have done NOTHING but stymie government, nobody in their right mind can argue that. You can argue that's what they should do if that's the government you want. Reid's threats are addressing the fact that Obama has had a horrible time getting people approved by the House to positions in HIS White House. Some have been waiting for years. These are not life long positions like the Supreme Court, the next administration can fire the lot and start over again. That's just plain and simple dirty tactics on the tea baggers part, again doing everything in their power to make Obama and thus OUR government fail so they will look good back home. Let him run his White House with the people he wants, if they fail its all his fault. Now its the fault of Tea Baggers doing anything they can do to hurt the current President. When in fact they are doing just the opposite, if anything they are making their cause into a evil attack on America in a large portion of the populations mind. Obama is the current President with control of the Senate, he will be gone in a short time. You folks are killing any chance you had to take the Whitehouse back. Mark my words, the majority of Americans are sick of the Tea Baggers brand of politics. You live in an area where most agree with what you believe, that's far from the truth on a national level. Tea Baggers have and will continue to hurt good Republican's seeking national level positions and that's a damn shame.
